No one really knows about the true involvement angle. My guess is that Chandra did meet Condit on that fateful day...had a liaison, and then she left to accidentally run into the actual killer later at the park. The curious thing here is that if she hadn’t been killed that day...she would have moved up and now be a office manager for some Senator.

Condit looks like one of those quiet, violent persons. IIRC, he also had a record from his youth which was sealed and/or had disappeared.

The most interesting item I remember is that someone had phoned in a clue....the day before they were suppose to search the area where Chandra was eventually found.

Never thought the guy in jail was guilty. Why???....two living witnesses say he's not a killer, just a predator.

I think it was clear how involved they were. I believe Chandra told her Aunt Linda about the affair several times over a long period of time (although she may not have “named names”, just his title or position).

On 9/11/01 around 9:00 a.m., his story became a non-story. Still, it put an end to his career.

Some think that the ordeal put the fear of God into others in DC politics — Condit’s friends — and some left public service soon after, opting for private sector positions.
