Every book or movie based on one of his books I’ve had the extreme stupidity to suffer through has been a waste of frigging time. They start out okay, continue okay, and then it’s like this geek finally realizes he has to finish the book/movie (very stupidly) to get his next check...
A complete and utter waste of time.
He’s best as a short-story or novella writer. When he keeps it short, he writes some really good stuff, like the novellas “Stand By Me” or “Shawshank Redemption” were based on. It’s when he gets diarrhea of the typewriter that he goes way off track.
