Public Schools and the Decline of Christianity in America Indoctrination

Public Schools and the Decline of Christianity in America Indoctrination

This video is 2 minutes 43 seconds. The title is self-explanatory. Our nation's children are not attending religiously neutral schools. They are forced to attend (and taxpayers are under police threat to fund) government owned and run ATHEIST schools.

Government owned and run, socialist-entitlement, single-payer K-12 schools have never been, and are not now, religiously, politically, or culturally neutral.

Please remember that it is ***impossible** to live in a philosophic state of religious neutrality. All humans must choose between either a godless or God-centered worldview. All schools must choose one of these religiously non-neutral worldviews in which to develop their curriculum and school policies. Government schools, must as well.

Conservatives! PLEASE WAKE UP!

Government school indoctrination threatens our nation's freedom. Organize with others. Work to shut down the government owned and run socialist-entitlement, single-payer, and godless schools. Let's begin the process of privatizing K-12 education in this nation. Work toward complete separation of school and state.

“Thanks very much, but public school went to Hell decades back.”

All have their own opinion about schools and I've worked in several and have seen how decisions are made so I stick to it is the population the school serves, that determines the philosophy of the school and it's decisions on policy.

I would not have a problem with my child going to the school system here. I would not send a child to Houston Schools.

However, my post was the path school textbooks take before the final copy is printed for sale to other states. That path is a good one to try to have our textbooks correct. I would rather have them changed by Texas conservatives than California/New York/Mass., etc., liberals.

Re: School boards ( The People's Education Collective)

Ideas are the most powerful things in the world. That we exist at all began as an idea in the mind of God.

Ideas matter when it comes to socialist-entitlement, single-payer, and godless schooling. Very entrenched, long standing, and seemingly intractable institutions can lose their legitimacy in a very short amount of time. Ideas do this. Some examples are the decline of paganism and the rise of Christianity, slavery, and Jim Crow. ( And the tide has turned regarding the nation's opinion regarding abortion.)

Well....Compulsory government owned and run socialist-entitlment schools are not immune to the loss of legitimacy. I am very hopeful that government schooling will simply whither away. Why?

1) The government reports that 4% of school aged children are homeschooled. The real number is likely twice that.

2) Charters, vouchers, and tax credit programs expand yearly.

3) Long pitiful lines form for the lotteries that determine who does or does not win a voucher to a private school, or admission to a charter school. This makes for great local TV news reporting and these parents are forming **powerful** lobbying groups pushing for privatization.

4) The statistics for charter and voucher school achievement are excellent. In all studies where the achievement of those who were won the lottery as compared to those who lost and remained in their government indoctrination camp show those attending the private schools do far better. And...The longer the children remain in private school the larger the gap is between those who won the lottery and those who were condemned to remain in their government prison-like school.

5) Homeschoolers ( real ones, not the government school “push outs”) are doing fabulously well and the highest ranking colleges are actively seeking them. This is not going unnoticed by parents who care about their kid's education.

Conclusion: There is no reason to waste time fighting The People's Education Collective ( misnamed “school board”).

There's a reason why "Free education for all children in government schools" is the 10th plank of the Communist Manifesto.

I would respecfully submit that there is no way a Barak Obama could have ever been elected President once, much less twice, without decades of government school indoctrination.

You need to give more thought to what you’re proposing, wintertime.

You are under the impression that wintertime is capable of thinking. Stick around long enough and you will see that he/she just has about 10-12 phrases that are repeated endlessly.

BTW now that you have pointed this out you will be subject to the wrath of witnertime. you will be labeled a "public schoole defender", "Useful idiot", or worse. Any question you ask will be ignored and any comment will be met with a "Please don't ping me" reply.

It only took 1 to 3 generations of socialist-entitlement, single-payer, compulsory , and secular schooling to give the nation Franklin D. Roosevelt and his socialism.

Now that government socialist-entitlement schooling is becoming more prison-like every year and students are treated more like prisoners and criminals, and controlled by admitted communists....well... I truly do fear for the future of freedom.

I consider government schooling to be so evil for the child and such a threat to the nation that I will not have a government school worker for a friend. I don't have abortion workers for friends either.

Maybe YOU are subjected to wrath by wintertime and other sensible folks here but I did not notice her doing to sergeantdave any of those things that you wrongly predicted. Of course, it is not easy to defend old P. S. 666 on a conservative website and so we should be kind to and patient with you until you see the light. May God have mercy on your soul!

You have the credentials in life and on Free Republic to argue for the public schools within your geographical area and/or in which you have worked and to get a respectful hearing on anything you post.

The work of the Texas School Book Committee (whatever its formal name may be) has been terrific and one of the few really positive influences on public education in this country. The publishers can either accept revisions by Texas conservatives or forego selling their wares ANYWHERE in Texas public schools. Since the publishers are not going to publish 50 versions of a text for 50 states, Texas has thereby earned the thanks of the nation.

It is only obvious that because of folks like you, THEY will never take Texas!

God bless you and yours!

You left out the key word: YET.

Anyone that has spent any time on these threads knows beyond the shadow of a doubt that if you don't march in lockstep with wintertime you will be attacked and subject to EVERY method outlined in "Rules for Radicals."

Humblegunner, gabz, softballmominva, shag377, to name a few.

Go ahead deny it.

This is the exact point I have been making. If people want things to change then they have to be involved. They have to run for school boards get elected and make those changes.

I have been told countless times that the system can't be changed/fixed. Well guess what the liberals changed it, and we can change it back. But sure as shootin' it isn't by sitting in front of the computer and whining. And it D@MN sure isn't to do a bit of good P!$$!NG of the conservative public school teachers on this site by calling us names.

I just looked at this video and it had 256 views. Who thinks that is a correct number? Not I. I suspect I can never prove it but I bet YouTube admins change the views number based upon the content of the video. And this video was posted Nov 28, 2012.

Actually, my experience has been that whenever the topic turns to homeschooling, the Free Republic Teacher's Union arrives and begins pinging for assistance to undermine the conversation, and if Wntertime is present, to attack Wintertime personally.

One example of FRTU tactics is a thread where Wintertime said he/she did not care to have the government educate their kids, but wouldn't care to have government teachers as friends, and you and your little club proceeded to call Wintertime a "bigot" and compare a dislike for government employees to racial prejudice and those who persecute people for their religious beliefs... http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2975176/posts?q=1&;page=101. I stepped in to defend Wintertime and say they are free to associate with whomever they choose, and ever since that time you have referred to my defense as a vicious attack upon yourselves.

You seem to thoroughly enjoy attacking people six to one, but let someone stand up for themselves or win the argument, and you immediately play the victim card.

You are the ones who search Wintertime's posts and homeschooling topics and ping your harpies to the attack...no one is following and stalking you. Yet you're portraying yourself as the poor downtrodden bully because your targets won't concede to your harassment.

That is not only Alinsky-type behavior, it is also childish, and cowardly.

BTW I'm a "bigot" too, if despising your ilk makes me a bigot.

P.S. ...BTW your assertion that HG has ever been "victimized" by anybody is laughable, if not downright ludicrous. Is this the incident to which you refer? I'll let readers be the judge. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2979875/posts?page=134

I strive mightily to be **general** in my references to the topic of education in the U.S.

Yes, it does seem that ( regardless of topic) there seems to be a cabal of thread disruptors who follow these topics. Personally, I have wondered if some ( most) are actually professionals who are paid to do this. Obviously, this mere proves that **ideas** are extremely powerful and that, specifically, Free Republic is one of the world's most important disceminators of ideas.

As to my personal little cadre of stalkers....well?....I see that as a badge of honor. I ignore them and refuse to engage them in debate. Why?

Some things are beyond debate and to do so merely lends legitimacy to the defense of immorality. For example, abortion, slavery, human trafficking, human sacrifice, etc., are beyond debate. There is** NO** legitimate defense!

The following is beyond defense, and I will NOT allow others to give it a veneer of legitimacy by responding to them:

1) It is an ABOMINATION to FORCE children into GODLESS schools and FORCE them to think and reason godlessly. All government school owned and run K-12 schools do this because all government owned and run schools are GODLESS IN THEIR WORLDVIEW!.

2) It is an ABOMINATION to FORCE citizens to pay for it and threaten them with police and court action, loss of their property, prison, and even their lives if they refuse to pay for the GODLESS and SOCIALIST indoctrination of children.

3) It is an ABOMINATION that children ( whose only crime was to be born) are FORCED into government owned and run institutions that look like PRISONS and then treated in many ways are marched and ordered about like PRISONERS.

$) In government schools the government functionaries TRASH every First Amendment Right of students. ( Speech, press, assembly, and exercise of religion and all students are subject to the non-stop GODLESS indoctrination into the government religion of GODLESS SECULAR HUMANISM!)

6) It is an ABOMINATION that government FORCES children into socialist-entitlment schools where they risk learning to be comfortable with socialism. If the government can give them tuition-free schooling it is a short step toward understanding that the same government can give them **lots** of FREE STUFF!

The risk is that we are raising up a generation of citizens who will be comfortable SOCIALISTs and GODLESS PRISONERS of the state!!!!! THIS IS AN ABOMINATION!!!!!

And....Finally, I WILL NOT HAVE FOR A FRIEND ANYONE WHO DOES THIS TO CHILDREN and cooperates with FORCING THE TAXPAYER TO PAY FOR THIS ABOMINATION!!!

(Yeah! I am shouting!)

desceminator

That should be:

disseminator.

I forgot to run my post through the spell check. Soon the disruptors will be pinging me with posts ( that I have politely requested them **not** to send) stating that my post is not understandable.

My daughter taught math in a Catholic elementary school. ALL of the teachers and the principal, except my daughter, voted for Obama.

I have the same problem. My daughter is at a non denominational Christian school in my area. (There are not many private schools to go to..) It's not as left leaning as the public school district but it has some teachers that are left wing. My daughter's teacher is a huge left winger. I often wonder where her ability to discern is? How can you teach about Christ and yet support Obama?

When my daughter's teacher blamed the Crusades on Christians, I hit the roof!

Days after a video has been posted on Free Republic, the number of views on several videos had not changed, but i **know** there were visited by Freepers.

Time to have your medication adjusted, you have it exactly backward.

There is no such thing as the FRTU, never has been. On the other hand Metmom has not one, but two home-school ping lists.

Might want to deal with facts rather than fantasy.

And as I clearly said P!$$!NG on CONSERVATIVE public school teachers does nothing to help your cause.

Also I believe that you were one of the people that completely ignored when the public school teachers stood up for the home-schools when the MSM jumped on the fact that the child in New Mexico that killed his family was home-schooled.

Pesky things, those facts.
