McCain to GOP: Accept path to citizenship In immigration-"reform" bill
The Hill ^

Posted on 01/27/2013 9:37:31 AM PST by JohnPDuncan

Yes John, creating millions of new Democrat voters demanding free stuff is absolutely what the GOP needs

- Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said that the Republican Party has to accept a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants as part of an immigration-reform package.

McCain said on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday that a group of bipartisan senators would be announcing “principles” on immigration reform this week, which he said was similar to a plan unveiled during President George W. Bush’s second term that ultimately failed.

McCain said there’s one big reason that his party has to loosen its opposition to providing a path to citizenship.

“Look at the last election,” he said. “We are losing dramatically the Hispanic vote, which we think should be ours for a variety of reasons, and we’ve got to understand that.”

I would say ignore him, but I would be preaching to the choir. It’s the morons in DC I’m worried about. Somehow, many of them lose the ability to represent their constituents, the ability to think, or common sense.

The GOP is losing the “Hispanic vote”...that shouldn’t even exist in the first place!!!! If the GOP had pushed to enforce the laws over the past 20 years, they wouldn’t have to suck up to the illegal vote now. Dubya Bush turned a blind eye to the illegal immigration that happened while he was in office. The stupid party strikes again!

Why are you making up headlines? This is the headline at the link:

The Newtster was just reported as having said similar things but did so in code.

Decoding it it came up “Let’s toss out any of the few remaining minor differences we have with the welfare & race pandering progressive Democrats so we can maybe get our guys in office to distribute more taxpayer booty to OUR pals.”

Methinks we need a viable third party.

Oh wait. That’d be a SECOND party!

There is no reason - none whatsoever - to believe that there is any possibility of the GOP getting a significant share of the Hispanic vote.

They are recruits for the FSA, and planning to increase the number of legal Hispanic voters is idiotic.

I have to admit when I first read the title I didn’t know if it was the father or the daughter were were talking about, then I realized it doesn’t matter.

Like it or not....Hispanics turned the election and you have to deal it.

We always talk about kicking the can down the road....We've turned this road into a cul-de-sac to avoid a solution.

We ALL know that we can't capture them and bus them back to Mexico.

Deal with it or it will only grow and we'll never win another election.

What do people think should be done with the Mexicans and other “Third World” invaders? The Euroamerican obviously doe not have the strength, spiritually or physically to remove them. Sorry, but that is the truth. There is nothing left inside the Euroamerican.

It’s a dilemma: from my vantage point, it’s “make them citizens and we’ll never win another election.”. Fact is, it’s probably both. Look at California.

look you jackwagon; some of us don’t vote to “win an election”; some of us vote for the best outcome for our country. Turning it into Guadalajara II is not in my to-do list. This is the exact reason Republicans should NOT ever win another election. There is scant difference between them and the Dhimmicrats now; why bother to vote against the Democrat if you are achieving the same goal.

Were screwed no matter what regarding Latinos. I actually agree with the hardcore leftist Jamie Boululle in today’s Real Clear Politics. He says even if the repubs lead the way on immigration it won’t matter. Latinos like blacks are liberals.

Yes, this was floated curing the Bush years and was resoundingly defeated because people called, emailed, wrote snail-mail letters and sent telegrams to their representatives.

We’ll just have to do it again, won’t we?

FU, Juan. Your track record sucks and we already have enough laws that you wrote and won't enforce.

Tell you what, first you enforce the immigration laws Congress has already passed, that you promised would end immigration issues.

You get that down first, especially "the enforcing the border" part, and then we'll talk about your new laws.

Otherwise, what's the point?

“Like it or not....Hispanics turned the election and you have to deal it.”

You cannot point to a single state in which the hispanic vote was the determining or deciding factor.
