DeMint is right. RINO's have to go so Conservatism can become THE voice of freedom.

It is going to be very interesting to see just how the GOP and more specifically the GOPe react to DeMint now that he is really unrestrained and has a huge microphone.

We actually do have the leadership. Unfortunately it’s rather scattered, and needs consolidation.
DeMint
Palin
A few more here, and there. Just need to get them all together under the same umbrella.

Palin. DeMint. If they can get another 100 million real conservatives on board, it might start a movement worth noting.

To go along with this -- suppose, just suppose, that conservatives used the entire month of February to make a statement: CHANGE YOUR PARTY REGISTRATION. Change it to Independent, to Conservative -- heck, I'm considering changing to Democrat so I can start screwing up *their* primaries for a change.
But suppose the GOP leadership (I use the term loosely) noticed millions of voters leaving their registration rolls. Do you think maybe THEN they would get the point?

Sen. Jim DeMint said Saturday said that conservatives should not rely on the GOP establishment to deliver the movement's message Looks like he slipped on his *Captain Obvious* super suit after leaving the Senate.
Watching with some interest.

If true, this is great news. It could be the end of RINO’s, as we know them.
To: cblue55
This is very interesting because its basically the same thing that Sarah Palin was saying Saturday. They both are close to Levin and Levin has been going off on the Republican Establishment too....hmmm!
To: cblue55
I think DeMint is saying Conservatives have to strike out on their own with their messaging and ignore the RINO's advice about what/where/when to deliver that message. He's saying Conservatives need to take our message directly to the voters; ignore the RINO's; change the discourse outside DC.

Facepalm.
1) GOPe is content to be the minority party forever.
2) Obama's people have significant blackmail on several GOP key people, including Boehner and Chief Justice Roberts. They will continue to knuckle under. I also think Fox News has been penetrated by the Democrats, too.
3) Palin? Palin has been permanently destroyed by the Democrat-Media alliance. She was forced out at Fox News, I believe. If she left on her own, why? No lawsuit. No scandal. She can't be thinking of running in 2016. She is political damaged goods.
4) Do we really think there will even be a 2016 election? I find it doubtful.

The bottom line is that the GOP-E has committed political suicide with all of its skullduggery against Conservatives, and so the only way out of this mess is to form a wholly new national Conservative Party, and chuck the Republican Party to the trash heap.
