Yep. Texas is issuing lic. plates with improved reflectivity to aid these scanning technologies.

Law enforcement cruise through parking lots and such scanning one auto after another.

Kinda creepy if ya ask me.

I doubt most people would know that camera-looking thing is taking a shot of the license plate of EVERY CAR passing by, and then entering it into a PERMANENT, SEARCHABLE, database.

In fact, if I saw that, I’d think it was a new type of radar gun.
