Sessions: Comprehensive Reform Won’t Pass As Long As Admin Defies Existing Immigration Law

U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Ranking Member of the Senate Budget Committee and former Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement on the new push for comprehensive immigration reform and amnesty:

“Americans overwhelmingly oppose illegal immigration. They have pleaded with Congress to end the mass illegality for decades to little avail. All the while, millions have been added to the total of those illegally here.

It’s time to fix that broken system. Now we are told that the Obama Administration and members of Congress say they have a plan that they promise will do the job. So, the American people will need to watch closely. And, members of Congress must insist that they have a full and complete opportunity to study and amend such legislation.

We would be in a much better position to achieve immigration reform if the Obama Administration had spent that last four years enforcing federal law rather than dismantling it. Brave immigration agents have been left with no recourse but to sue their own Department head, simply so that they—like any other law officers—will be allowed to do their jobs. Just last Friday a federal judge made an important preliminary ruling in their favor. The ICE union also held their own agency head, John Morton, in no confidence with a unanimous vote. The first task for every media agency in the country ought to be to study this lawsuit, to listen to the long-documented complaints of ICE agents, and to review the record of stymied attempts at congressional oversight of DHS.

Intellegence is out of fashion however, on our side of the aisle. Conservatives seem to approve the more anti-intellectual types who do great one liners with charisma.

(1) deny citizenship to illegals who use (and/or purchased) multiple forged/faked identities;

(3) deny citizenship to illegals--and extended families--cashing one or more US govt checks;

(4) deny citizenship to all illegals convicted of crimes here and in their homelands;

(5) deny citizenship to illegals w/ fraudulent drivers' licenses;

(6) deny citizenship to illegals undermining the US ecocomy by sending US tax dollars back to their homelands;

(7) deny citizenship to illegals affiliated with latino organizations undermining US ntl security;

(8) deny citizenship to illegals connected to the hatemongering "La Raza"

(9) deny citizenship to students and advocates of "Raza Studies" (teaches killing of Americans);

(10) deny citizenship to illegals who returned to US after being deported one or more times;

(11) deny citizenship to illegals whose parents fraudently declared them on EITC apps;

(12) deny citizenship to illegals who unlawfully received US govt gratuities in exchange for their votes;

(13) deny citizenship to those who made false claims of citizenship on job apps (US courts ruled this a deportable offense);

(14) deny citizenship to illegals using fake/forged Social Security numbers;

(15) deny citizenship to illegals who obtained fraudulent sub-prime mortgages;

(16) deny citizenship to illegals who defaulted on mortgages (and other debt).

(17) deny citizenship to illegals who skipped out on arrest warrants (violates US criminal law w/ arrest/jailtime for contempt).

..........and so on and so forth......

Several points need to be understood. Amnesty will not help balance our budget. In fact, a large-scale amnesty is likely to add trillions of dollars to the debt over time, accelerate Medicare’s and Social Security’s slide into insolvency, and put enormous strain on our public assistance programs. We know already that the administration refuses to enforce existing law restricting immigrant welfare use, and in fact promotes expanded welfare use to immigrants—including food stamps, public housing, and Medicaid. I joined with four Ranking Members to obtain answers from the Department of Homeland Security about this evisceration of law, and the Administration has suspiciously defied three consecutive oversight requests”

Sessions is on the money here.

Worse yet is ‘path to voting’ that the McCain, Schumer, Rubio amnesty team wants. McCain says we ‘owe’ illegals ‘the same benefits we enjoy as Americans’ for their hard work here.

A caller on CSPAN this morning accused the US (corporations) of ‘bringing them here’ in making the exact same argument, not kidding.
Yes, apparently illegals were brought here in chains just like Kunta Kinte (Roots) was.

The funny irony of this whole thing is this: so many people (including? businessman and farmers) want amnesty for the illegals immigrants already here (watch the floodgates while we wait for this to become fact) but when they become citizens they are entitled to, not only benefits, but minimum wage. So the same workers they are now paying $3/hr, will now have to be paid $7, or upwards to $10-$11/hr. if the increase in minimum wage gets passed.

I say dismantle the INS...what a waste of taxpayers hard earned money.

I’ve personally met Pete Sessions several times. He is a “real” person and has a son with a handicap. He seemed like a sincere person to me and is LEO friendly too. Not some down the nose looker like so many other politiians.

As an investigator with 20 + years under my belt that list is pretty good because they use false IDs they buy on the streets that uses someone else’s identification all the time. They continuously “borrow” drivers license numbers and social security numbers and any other false documentation to apply for welfare programs and credit. You’d think the creditors would run their SSNs through the system and come back and say, “We’re sorry but we can’t approve the loan. Your social security number is associated with a John Doe who lives in such and such city and appears to be linked to that SSN since 1984 while you are only linked to it since 2012 so we are going to have to decline your loan” but more often they don’t. Why? Commissions off the sales o they push it through and ruin someone’s credit when Juan decides to go visit his family in Mexico and decides to never come back taking his brand spanking new 2013 Ford F159 over the border. Meanwhile Tom L Jones, the American citizen who pays his taxes isn’t completely unaware that Juan’s family applied for food stamp and housing assistance while they were over here and that his niece and nephew-in-law are using his benefits. He’s always out oftown they say. Tom applies or a loan and discovers that he is a deadbeat on paper and HE is thewho has to prove he isn’t.

Worked on a case awhile back where there was a whole houseful of illegals using false IDs. They bought their IDs down at a Hispanic flea market where they destroy lives daily for about a $100 - $150 a pop...sometimes less (I was told I could buy a Social Security card for $65 that looked just as real as a real one when I went in undercover later)
