New details surface on Iran nuclear explosion
WND ^ | January 29, 2013 | Reza Kahlili

Posted on 01/29/2013 8:49:57 AM PST by LucianOfSamasota

Sixteen North Koreans, including 14 technicians and two top military officers, are among those trapped after a Jan. 21 explosion destroyed much of Iran’s Fordow nuclear site, a source reveals.

The source who provided the initial information on the explosion at one of Iran’s most important nuclear sites has now provided details about the degree of the destruction.

The report, published exclusively by WND Jan. 24, is being covered internationally by major media, with independent intelligence sources confirming the explosion for the Times of London and the German Die Welt.

But White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters Monday: “We have no information to confirm the allegations in the report and we do not believe the report is credible.”

How would you cause an explosion in a underground facility? . . . However it was done..if it was done..great.

Remember - miners have to work at not causing an explosion by accident. Underground facilities may have explosive gasses build up naturally. With uranium enrichment, you also have a range of potentially unpleasant gasses in use. The fluorine in uranium hexafluoride has to come from somewhere, and if they Iranians are morons, they might mess that up. The centrifuges rotate at a high rate and can generate static electricity or in other ways cause a spark if they are not maintained correctly, which could be colorful if there were explosive gasses present. The other processes needed for weapons components might intentionally (through virus commands or through direct physical sabotage) or inadvertently release the explosive gasses without intentionally smuggling in bulk explosives.

Causing something like this, if it was caused, is not hard. Bakeries can explode from airborne flour. Most homes have natural gas, which can be made to explode. Gasoline and propane can be made to explode. Chemical labs almost always have bulk solvents, which are often volatile and can become explosive. Tanks of high pressure hydrogen, oxygen, or other simple gasses are found in a surprisingly large proportion of labs. From the perspective of those who don't want nuclear war, it's not "how do we get the explosives in there" but "which ones shall we use".

The Israelis did it...

You are probably right, but then maybe some of their Arab neighbors are frightened of them have nukes too!

When and if commercial satellite imagery is available, you're going to be pretty disappointed.

I almost agree. I'd say it's at best 50-50 that something happened. I'm still hoping - or perhaps the reports are premature and the actual explosion will be a week from now instead of a week ago.

Simple - if WH/obozo denies it, it must be true!

All the information and news reports, pretty much track back to just one “public source” - and that’s Reza Kahlili.

There are a couple of news stories that cite some “unknown sources” (and nameless) - but those are questionable.

Even the Reza Kahlili source is questionable (which all these various news reports derive from) - because he’s not identified either.

SO ... what you have is some alias of a name, citing unknown figures that this has happened - and no one has anything objective, outside of this.

It would be different if you showed current satellite photos with rescue crews and a massive “operation” going on there (if there has been an explosion) - or - at the very least a “clean-up operation” going on. But, nothing is happening.

I would say that one has to wait for a while longer (maybe days and maybe weeks) before it really “settles down” and you get some real facts on the matter.

A modest but commendable start.

We’ve done it before. In 1982 we let the Soviets steal compromised pipeline control systems we found out they were after, a trojan horse that supposedly led to the largest non nuclear explosion ever seen from space. Middle of nowhere Siberia, so apparently no one was hurt.

It looks like the counter-narrative is that the story was sold to gullible reporters by either a) anti-regime Iranians based in the US trying to whip up support, or b) Iranian agents running an easily debunked story and attributing it to their opposition to discredit them.

None of those locations are near Fordo.

Well... that was my point. HOWEVER, the real problem was that I listed the data from JAN 21, 2012, instead of JAN 21, 2013.

I goofed big time. PJ-COMIX responded to me and listed the correct data in another post, showing seismic activity on that DATE and in that LOCATION.

Bottom line, it appears that there was some kind of explosion.

The poster who correctly supplied the USGS data for the Fordo(w) incident was POLITICAL JUNKIE TOO, not PJ-COMIX.

(Well.... that's two mistakes, wonder what my next one will be?)

Then.... check this out.

M5.5 - 38km ENE of Kerman, Iran 2013-01-21 19:49:02 UTC

Still means nothing. Kerman is in southeastern Iran. Quom is not very far from Tehran on the road to Isfahan. If you want to find it easily, look for the white spot south of Tehran. Fordo is 62 miles south of Tehran as the crow flies. Kerman is over 500 miles measured the same way to the SE.

Yeah, I was expecting a third mistake, and I got it.
