The worry was evident in the voice of the official, who would not speak on the record while criticizing the performance of the presidents nominee. For those who question whether the no-containment cornerstone of the Obama approach to Tehran is for real, or just diplomatic rhetoric, Mr. Hagel clearly muddled the message, he said.

Ha Ha, now that is funny, how Chuck could ever fly under the Rep. banner has always been beyond me, but for Obama to nominate him tells more about Obama than Hagel, Hagel has always been a bit of a stumbler bumbler and never a clear thinker, now, Jane Fonda for sec.def.at least you would know what side she was on
Some time back Michael "Fisheye" Kinsley said "in Washington, a 'gaffe' is when you unintentionally tell the truth." Hagel committed a gaffe yesterday.
