Sexual reproduction may be a very early development. One theory is that it developed as a method of repairing damaged DNA through an exchange with neighboring cells. The benefits of sexual reproduction are clear, and if a population retained that characteristic, in certain environments (for example where damage was likely), it could outperform competitors.

DNA is far more complex than paint ~ with a vast array of exceedingly complex chemistry. If paint can do it, so can DNA!

You are either trying to be antagonistic or you 're completely clueless.

His last line is the clincher. “These points need to be examined and they never are, never are.”

That is exactly the point I was making in the post. It is a false theory that science will defend to the death.

Sorry, I had to be a host to visitors for a bit. I am impressed with the frank approach of David Berlinski as I watched the “you tube” you presented. You and he are on the same path I was/am on.
It seems reasonable that philosophers should cross paths with the sciences since “it” predated them (Aristotle being the first). Since Kant and the “categorical imperative” there have been distinctions between reason and empiricism that don’t float. If your desire for the truth is the emperative then you ultimately reach a conclusion that God is and that He rewards those who seek the truth (Him).

He’s neither antagonisitic or clueless. He’s attempting to explain something that is clearly far too complex for you to even begin to grasp. Are you going to make some comment about anal sex with him as well?

You need to learn math.

Probabilities against observation.

Mutations, by a factor of more the ten, are more deleterious than beneficial.

Lets add time.

Add time and you produce more death.

But...but.. we are here, so chance must have found a way....

Your faith in the astronomical odds is greater than mine.

Re-reading your note, you are mistaken if you think I'm some sort of doctrinaire hardcore evolutionist. Frankly, i don't think that process works ~ the connection between the probability of survival under certain conditions is too tenuous UNLESS 'somebody' is thinking about it, and that would likely be the computer-like segments of DNA.

Let's get back to the mustard seed ~ Jesus told us to consider it, so that's what I'm doing ~ and it's set up so it actually senses conditions external to the cell nucleus, and then turns on the genes needed to help it survive whatever those conditions are. We don't know the precise sensory mechanism outside of temperature and humidity, but the results are always spectacular.

At the moment I'm wondering why the Skolt Sa'ami have an incidence of 18% worth of dental displasia involving three or more teeth! That's a multi gene condition controlling that one ~ and all it does is give them a better grip on frozen reindeer meat. Seriously ~ you can cut off raw fresh steak easier as well ~ and as a bothersome as it is to get your teeth missing or twisted like that, it had to be thought up by a very desperate information processing system.

BTW, God created information ~ hope you caught that ~ it's all His stuff ~ we just borrow it.

You need to learn some manners. And feel free to trot out some more Discovery Institute bullshit. Sorry you've chosen to wallow in ignorance.

One of the primary gaps evolutionists never want to discuss is where life began?

I can't tell if that's supposed to be a rhetorical question or if it's just an punctuation fail.

No, I see you sitting on a secondary fence.

A fence that allows you an out.

The out is social acceptance.

The other side brings you to you knees.

Sorry but I’ve heard it expressed better than I could hope.

Maybe, one day, you will stop and listen.

Go find the words for yourself.

You need to learn some manners

Pleased to meet you

Hope you guessed my name

I'm a Man of Wealth and Taste.

So if you meet me

Have some courtesy

Have some sympathy, and some taste

Use all your well-learned politesse

Or I'll lay your soul to waste, um yeah
