The National Rifle Association (NRA) has added 500,000 new members over the last month and a half.
Jacqueline Otto, media liaison for the NRA, spoke to CNSNews.com and confirmed the new membership numbers:
"We mark that [membership increase] from the, you know, Congressional calls for gun control and President Obama's executive orders and things like that. That's what's driving the increased membership."
CNSNews.com asked: "That's approximately over what time span then?"
"A month, month and a half," Otto said.

Go to www.ruger.com. Ruger set up a website so people can send an email to every local, county, state, Congress rep based on address/zip code. The site is approaching its 4th week and it has 908,000 entry with emails sent. Like it to keep growing even after 1,000,000 is reached. If you have not done it, get on it and send an email via site. Right now many political reps are counting voter sentiment before making any move. Even NY who suffered from a ban, click and send a defiant message. Many rural Dems and RINO are sitting on the fence, your email will let them know they kicked a hornet’s nest and there is hell to pay.

Infiltrating trolls of the left will tell us to give up—that writing letters and donating money to pro-Second-Amendment organizations won’t help. But votes and money do count, and so far, are defeating the mouthiness of the left, its few wealthy donors and the current lack of anti-Second-Amendment sentiment in its own Democrat Party.

My son came home the other day and said he had joined. There was a sign up special or something. LOL I wonder if there is some commission for signing up people. My son could sign up every legal and illegal at his high school. And with the illegals, the numbers could be really inflated because they have two and three and more identities!

Little correction of my own comment here. And there’s a current lack of anti-Second-Amendment sentiment in the left’s own Democrat Party. Anyway, the trolls should give it up. The very few politicians working against our Second Amendment are doing nothing more than drawing a lot of ridicule to themselves by all sides. Actively pro-Second-Amendment politicians are gaining big campaign boosts, thanks to the efforts of organizations working for our Second Amendment.

We (NRA) would be at 10M members if it weren’t for Wayne Lapierre. Can’t they find somebody (anybody) else to be the face for the NRA? Geez, talk about tone deaf....

I recently sent long emails to my representatives. Got a very positive response from my republican congressman. Got reasonably positive response from one democratic senator. But both were probably form letters. At least I got a response.
I know many that are joining and don’t own a firearm!
