And yet (I won’t annoy folks with it, but it Googles up readily enough) there’s a .cn web site that is now bragging about peoples in China back to 10,000 B.C.
India can show an archeologically credible trace back further than the Xia dynasty, I believe. One has to go to the bible to find civilizations prior to this.

I am sure there were numerous peoples in Asia going much further back than 10k B.C. But regardless of who their descendants became and where they wandered off to that doesn't add much credibility to Chinese claims of sovereign rule over the entire peoples and territories of Tibet based on false claims of a short and temporary period of absolute rulership over them.
As one of those histories linked before says there were alternating periods when one held "strong influence" over the other but neither ever exercised absolute rule over the other. Neither ever fully surrendered their sovereignty to the other. What chafes the Chinese is that Tibet came closer to that condition than they ever did over Tibet.
