Rove Declares War on Tea Party
Coyboy Byte ^ | February 4, 2012 | Staff

The battle for the heart and soul of the Republican Party has begun. On one side is the Tea Party. On the other side stand Karl Rove and his establishment team, posing as tacticians while quietly undermining conservatism.

Yesterday, the New York Times reported that the “biggest donors in the Republican Party” have joined forces with Karl Rove and Steven J. Law, president of American Crossroads, to create the Conservative Victory Project. The Times reports that this new group will dedicate itself to “recruit seasoned candidates and protect Senate incumbents from challenges by far-right conservatives and Tea Party enthusiasts who Republican leaders worry could complicate the party’s effort to win control of the Senate.” The group points to candidates like Christine O’Donnell in Delaware and Richard Mourdock in Indiana as examples of Tea Party primary picks going sideways in major Senatorial battles.

Karl Rove, indeed, is not a Conservative. Almost as significant, however, is the fact that he is greatly over-rated as a political pundit. His proposed stands on key issues are not only a betrayal of our heritage & basic Constitutional concepts; they are totally misguided from a pragmatic standpoint!

For analysis of Rove, see "Dysron," Quack or Mole?; and/or Rove Revisited.

In the links that follow each essay, you will find other links that discuss various aspects of Rove's serious damage to American interests & Republican prospects.

You can’t learn anything from the Akin debacle, really. A certain amount of politicians will shoot themselves in the foot, or head in Akin’s case, no matter their ideology. Did we learn never to run establishment candidates from Mitt’s botched 47% logic, or put establishment Pubs in power positions after Trent Lott’s Strom Thurmond comment?

And the sameWisconsin. that reaffirmed Scott Walker picked the madison radical invert Tammy Baldwin over “seasoned” professional Tommy Thompson. Stuff happens.

I call the GOP the Judenrat for the MarxoFascists for a reason. This is the evidence.

They know where the power is going to be, and they will do anything to share in it.

Okay, (another view)

In my view, the Tea Party is that part of the electorate who still think our Constitution should be followed; that the Federal Government is way too big and that spending has got to be controlled. And that is where they should stop for now. Rove's ideas are all pure politics which encompasses the enormous Federal Patchwork Quilt that needs restitching badly i.e., reduced by half. I think Judge Andrew P. Napolitano is the man to bring both sides together under one tent as it were.

Rove’s ideas are more dangerous than simply being purely political, though that is part of it.

Napolitano is dangerously isolationist, and not the guy to bring both sides together IMHO

Kick his ass and fight. This was Senator Jim Demint’s organization. The PAC was very effective IMO for the money spent.

Our goal is to enact policies that will restore America’s greatness. Therefore, we only support candidates who have the courage to:

Stop Spending
Congress must be forced to cut spending. SCF candidates support a constitutional amendment to balance the federal budget without raising taxes.

Repeal ObamaCare
President Obama’s health care takeover is set to destroy American medicine and bankrupt our country. SCF candidates support the full repeal of this dangerous law.

Enforce Immigration
The federal government has failed to enforce our nation’s immigration laws. SCF candidates support real border enforcement and oppose all forms of amnesty.

Defend the 2nd Amendment
The 2nd Amendment protects our freedom to keep and bear arms. SCF candidates oppose all efforts to eliminate or restrict this right.

Ban Bailouts
Bailouts force taxpayers to reward failure and punish success. SCF candidates oppose bailouts and believe corporations should be forced to compete.

End Earmarks
Congressional earmarks are a gateway drug to higher spending. SCF candidates support a permanent ban on earmarks to break Washington’s addiction to pork.

Protect Life
Americans should not be forced to fund activities they find morally objectionable. SCF candidates oppose taxpayer funding for abortion.

Adopt Term Limits
Our country is being destroyed by career politicians. SCF candidates support a constitutional amendment establishing congressional term limits.

“Where this fat fool’s credibility comes from is beyond me.”

He barely won against Gore and Kerry.

Two of the weakest candidates in recent history, after Romney of course.

(DOA) Dead On Arrival). Rove is a representative of a group who are members of the New World Order determined to subvert the U.S. Constitution and the right of individual U.S. Citizens to govern themselves. They are confirmed enemies of the concept of the constitutional republic envisioned by the Founding Fathers and the people who sacrificed their life and limb to defend it. Rove and his backers havee no intention of allowing you to protect your constitutionall rights without their opposition and and determination to overthrow it.

No kidding. The GOP is already comatose and Rovian moderates are busy pinching the feeding tube as the democrats happily goose step their way to full on fascism completely unhindered.

The "moderates" are clearly aiding the democrats and its time they were exposed.

Akin was hardly the Tea Party choice in the primary. I don’t think they had a dog in that fight.

Rove doesn’t get it.

The problem is that his GOP is largerly indistinguishable from the Democrats. A lot of us, especially Conservatives, are sick as hell over it, and the TEA Party is what we align with.

Go ahead Karl fight the TEA Party, but some of us TEA Partier’s will be more busy fighting the Democrats.

I agree with you, a certain number of politicians will shoot themselves in the foot, but we need to remember that when a conservative does it, the MSM will be all over the mistake 24/7. If a progressive makes that kind of mistake, he or she apologizes and we move on.
All I am saying and have said it before: conservatives need to be more careful about what they say in public.
