To: Real Cynic No More
The judge should sentence the prosecutor to the same jail for the same period of time as the Reese family.

I sure don't mean to start any arguments, but I'd make the sentence three or four times as long as the family members have had to endure for no reason: in the first place, there were more of them, and in the second, lawyers are supposed to be at least superficially familiar with the law, and ultimately, prosecutors are supposed to be public servants, not petty tyrants.

After second thought, I’ll concur with you, and even add that there whereabouts should also be monitored by the courts and the defense via ankle bacelets and their freedom of movements restricted. Additionally, they should be prohibited from participating in any investigations of any suspected criminals at all until conclusion of the Reese case. Their salaries should be paid into an escrow account and their bank accounts placed under jurisdiction of the court, for possible compensation to the Reeses as the result of potential civil action.
