The main quake was 8.0. There was a 6.4 aftershock ten minutes later and about ten minutes after that a 5.6 aftershock. Wow.
Yeah, and volcanoes are caused by global warming too. All 300 billion years of ‘em.

On a macro scale, I believe they are. I think, increases in the earth's temperature (which, occur naturally) probably trigger increases in plate movement, and thus... Earthquakes and volcanoes..
I think, volcanoes are a PART of the earth's temperature regulating system.
Just a theory... I'd love to see some data that attempted to correlate temperature with seismic activity.
What if the 8.0 is a fore shock?
The San Francisco collision had absolutely nothing to do with any seafloor change caused by a recent earthquake.

Yikes!...can you describe what we are looking at in the photo?!
No Pacific Wide Tsunami; looks like this was basically a non-event except on the small island closest to the epicenter.
