And how many are “truly” disabled?
Could half of Detroit be disabled? What’s the percent for Chicago? Someone has to be supporting gangbangers...
Could half of Detroit be disabled? What’s the percent for Chicago? Someone has to be supporting gangbangers... right? If it was other than we suspect - the MSM would be reporting on it. This way they’ll be stuck ignoring the statistics and going with a sob story of a person who really is disabled...
You run out of unemployment bennies and sign up for disability benefits, the new America of Hope & Change. Not to mention 48 million Americans on food stamps. There’s a new class emerging in America called the comfortable poor. Deriving enough on the public dole to remain unemployed for years, at a level of income they could not possibly expect in the real world job market ... simply because any job skills, they might have had, have deteriorated to a point they are worthless to any prospective employer. Obummer is their saviour.
Of course, the disabled aren’t counted in those weekly bogus unemployment stats.
A couple that I know on SSDI are having a tough time getting through a 45 hour workweek for cash.
Others just sell their pain meds for $5-10 a pop on the street
stole this one today
...............
We are in trouble!!!
The
Population of this country is 310 million. 160
Million are retired.
That leaves 140 million to do the
Work.
There are 85 million in school.
Which leaves 55 million to do the work.
Of this there are 35 million employed by the federal
Government.
Leaving 20 million to do the work.
2.8 million are in the armed forces preoccupied
With killing TERRORISTS. Which leaves 17.2
Million to do the work.
Take from that total the 15.8
Million people who work for state and city
Governments. And that
Leaves 1.4 million to do the work. At any given
Time there are 188,000 people in hospitals.
Leaving
1,212,000 to do the work.
Now, there are 1,211,998 people
In prisons.
That leaves just two people to do the
Work.
You and me.
And there
You are,
Sitting on your ass,
At your computer, reading (Free Republic)
Nice. Real nice.
HELP! There is a disability rug on our hardwood floor of the economy, and there seems to be 8,830,026 people under it!
The ambulance chasing tort lawyers have branched out into SSDI claims, showing it is a rich source of income.
Lots of tv adverts here in Indiana (assume we’re not unique in this).
“You’ve contributed to the system your whole working life, now get the benefits you deserve. No fees until your case settles!”
And am I right?
SSDI is forever.
SSDI is taxfree.
I read that it is about impossible for a Dr. to turn you down, maybe we should all sign up to put a stop to it.
social Security Disability is not totally tax free. A certain amount is depending on your income.
I don’t know.
I’m sure someone on FR will give us the answer.
I do know a woman who was receiving SSDI due to mental illness (legitimately by my reckoning) and has recovered and gone back to work.
Speaking of SS disability.
I bumped into a rabid Obama supporter who donated $5K to his re-election who is a Administrative Appeals Judge working for SS, (I found out all of this using google) , a AA woman of course.
She is living in gloat city now being very annoying. Unfortunately I have little hope of seeing that smirk wiped off her face.
The main headquarters for SS is here in Maryland in Baltimore county .
disability is the new welfare- The problem is htough that peopel who are truly disabled are beign denied because these healthy maggots are flooding hte courts with claims-
While I deplore these statistics they do make some sense as American are an aging population, are they not?
It would be logical for disability claims to rise, to some degree, as baby boomers enter their 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s.
Is your keybroad updise down? :)
no my brain (or what little there is of it) is uspide down
it really is THE WORLD we live in that s UPSIDE DOWN
