Two members of a Compton street gang have been indicted on federal hate crime charges in connection with an attack on four juveniles on New Year’s Eve.
Named in the indictment are 19-year-old Jeffrey Aguilar and 21-year-old Efren Marquez, Jr., both alleged members of the Compton 155 street gang, which prosecutors say uses violence and threats to try to drive black residents out of its territory. The attack last December 31st was racially motivated, says U.S. Attorney Andre Birrote, Jr.
“The evidence in this investigation has led us to believe that they have a racial animus toward African Americans," Birrote said. "There have been reports of the term 'NK' being used — N standing for the N-word, K standing for killers.”
Aguilar and Marquez allegedly confronted a 17-year-old boy on the street and followed him to a house where they yelled racial slurs at the occupants, who included teens and a 10-year-old child, and demanded that they leave the neighborhood. One teenaged victim was assaulted with a metal pipe; another was threatened with a gun. The complaint says 14 other gang members showed up at the home, shouting slurs.
The case is an extreme example of racial tension as Compton and other traditionally black L.A. neighborhoods have become increasingly Latino. It’s the first violent, racially-motivated hate crime reported in Compton since 2010, when there were five such incidents, says Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca.
“Two thirds of the population in Compton are Hispanic and one third are African-American, and therefore there is a demographic shift," Baca said. "But given the potential with the gang problems in the city, you would think [there] would be greater and higher, race-based forms of violence...it appears as though the problem is low, but it still is a problem.”
Aguilar and Marquez are charged with five felony offenses, including conspiracy to violate the civil rights of their victims, and four counts of interfering with housing rights. Birrote said this is only the second time federal prosecutors in California’s Central District have used civil rights charges in a hate crime case.
And yet this little fracus in Long beach back in 2006 was not a hate crime after all when the judge finally sentenced the “youths”

I guess it can only be a hate crime if your not white or maybe if you are gay and white.
Can’t they muster charges against the police who fired upon two chinese women, kidding their vehicle with at least 40 rounds and injury g them both by putting holes in them?

I’ve posted on many threads where people speculate on a black/white race war that it will never happen; blacks are getting crushed by Hispanics in their own neighborhoods, steadily losing ground politically, economically, and demographically. The welfare reform of 1996 that brought the black birthrate down to “white” levels (by ending “cash-for-kids”) has no impact on a group that imports fresh numbers by the thousands daily; now the black core of many cities’ residential areas are ringed by buffer zones of Hispanics, led by an increasing number of Hispanic mayors.
The blacks really followed the Dem pied piper to their doom on this one; they really had the most to lose with uncontrolled borders, and have essentially already been displaced/marginalized. I am shocked at how blunt professional blacks are when they speak about Hispanics; too late, they see just what happened. Obama was window dressing to keep blacks mollified while he pursued white liberals’ agendas.
The minute I read the headline I knew it wasn’t a black gang being charged.
"Sigh". The PC idiots don't seem to understand that whenever they use "the N-word" in a sentence, it forces the mind to see/say "nigger". They use/spread the word much more often by "speaking around it" than it would get used if they just acknowledged that it is a term that evolved from a descriptive to a pejorative.
Hate crime laws were created for the sole purpose of putting Whites, males or Christians in jail for anything they may say or do, or not say or not do, while setting free any and all members of privileged minority groups for crimes up to and including murder.
This could get real interesting if it started a rumor among Mexican-Americans that the “black” Just Us Department thinks that Hispanics are inferior to blacks, so don’t deserve equal justice.
Of course the flip side to this is that the “black” Just Us Department thinks Hispanics are like whites, so superior to blacks that they don’t need protection with unfair “hate crime” laws. They think that blacks are too inferior to commit hate crimes.
Blacks and, I would add, "Chicanos" and pochos who'd assimilated here and were moving into move-up jobs in the 60's and 70's when the tidal surge arrived. The immigrant flood is intended to depress wages, and it has. PBS did a show surveying night workers in the janitorial trades and found that the typical wage in New York City (in 1990) was $12/hour, in Pittsburgh $10, and in Houston $3 and change, about $3.30 iirc. The reason wasn't far to seek: a few months later, some janitorial workers tried to form a union. Their own employer called INS and helped round them up when they came to work one afternoon. They were all shipped to Mexico.
After Hurricane "Katrina", President Bush launched a plan, put together by his own HUD secretary and New Orleans centimillionaire businessman Edward F. Cannizzaro. The plan was to shut the "projects", maroon the blacks who had fled them wherever they washed up (about 110,000 of them here in Houston, with hundreds of thousands more in places from Dallas to Little Rock to Memphis to Jackson to the Alabama cities), and backfill with Mexican labor imported apurpose.
From an old letter dated a month after "Katrina" to my Orleanian sister, I gave her the details I'd found in a Houston Chronicle article of Sept. 29, 2005 on Page B-1, by one Lori Rodriguez, which I summarized for my sister as follows:
- 1. New Orleans will shrink from 500K people to 375K (down 125K).
- 2. The ethnic composition of the town in August was 28% white (135K) and 67% black (335K), plus about 30K "other".
- 3. The Bush Administration wants to change that composition to max 40% black (150K), or down to maybe 35% black (132K), with the rest being white/other around 225K, or more.

- 1. From 185K up to 203K black Orleanians are going to be disinvited to return home.
- 2. From 90K to 108K white/other citizens are going to be invited into New Orleans to take their place.
This was how grandly Manor Bush thought about solving social as well as business problems, in concert with the local megarich business squirearchy.
Interesting info. I knew New Orleans would be smaller because there was simply no reason to rebuild much of the lowest-lying areas. The French knew what they were doing when they built the city, and their section, while losing power, wasn’t submerged.
Immigrants have certainly driven wages down here in NJ, and left a lot of Americans unemployed.
