On the web-only "Overtime" segment of HBO's "Real Time" with host Bill Maher, guest Tina Brown, editor in chief of Newsweek/Daily Beast, said if President Obama were former President George W. Bush he would have been impeached by now.

Yeah, but that is wrong.
The dems can impeach him for drones; the pubbies can impreach him for Benghazi and ‘Fast and Furious’...a great opportunity to reach across the aisle and ‘compromise’. Isn’t that what everyone wants..?
I pray they do, but with the rats having the majority in the Senate the chance of getting that arrogant pos occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave removed from Office is nil, even though the House might impeach him.
"Ima kut 'is nutz off..."
Indeed
Yeah that would be great, but there in no way that the rats would impeach him. He’s their messiah after all
If we lose the House, chances are we haven’t seen anything yet. The message R’s bring better rouse the “ lo-fo “ voters, who require either guvmint income, or a job to go to not to mention that we still have working Americans who are jobless.
God help us. Food supply will be next. The power mad know how to bring about compliance.
If no one else leads, don’t blame me for my err. Thanks.
“But shes okay with the fact that he hasnt been, right?”
That’s what I’m thinking. It’s actually bragging because she knows the “won” can do anything and there will be no one to stop him. The Constitution was framed for honorable(or at least semi-honorable) men and hussein can lay claim to neither of those monikers.
Looking at that list, we’d better pray the Dems never regain control of the House. Bad bunch of players.
I don’t think any committee or committee chair would bring impeachment charges absent a large outcry from the public. The last one ended up damaging the GOP as much as it did Clinton.
Away... away... away... rode the rebel.
Johnny Yuma... was a rebel,
He roamed,.. through the west.
Johnny Yuma... was a rebel,
He wandered... alone.
He searched the land... this restless lad,
He was panther quick... and leather tough
Cause he had figured that he'd been pushed enough... the rebel.
Away... away... away... rode the rebel.
Away, away, away... rode the Rebel--
And Johnny Yuma... was a bobcat in the sack!
Well, I... am--
Yes, Johnny Yuma and the other Western TV stars of the 1950s killed a passel of bad guys... but they killed none of them with a drone.
PS, I'll give a cigar to anyone who can tell me... who all the above are, both the actor and they character they played--
That pair is already full of electrolytes, or something.
They can toss the word around because the more they use it the less it will mean. It is common (unspoken) knowledge that there is no offense Obama could commit that would lead to his removal from office. He has pigmentation immunity.
Yeah but if certain Freepers had their choice the rats would be in charge forever, just to teach the GOP another lesson like they did in 2006 and what did that bring us?
I imagine the same thing would happen were the Republicans to try to impeach Obama. I can understand why they wouldn't even want to poke THAT hornet's nest!
What about use of rendition so suspects can be physically tortured by foreign governments whereby the U.S. has plausible deniability on whether the information was obtained under duress?
Nobel Peace Prize Winner to The Kill List Overseer...
I don’t have a problem with them taking down Al Qaeda’s command and control by whatever means. But I recognize that, as the article states, if Bush had done it they would be caterwauling 24-7. How do we know that?
Because throughout the Iraq and Afghan wars they were caterwauling 24-7. Having voted for war, within 10 minutes key Democrats were on camera decrying the war they had minutes before just voted for. This way, if it went well, they were for it. And if it went badly, they were against it.
All through the war, they could be counted on to leak information to the New York Times, including how we were tracing Al Qaeda money, and communications, how we were transporting Al Qaeda captives, how we questioned them, what the rules and limits were for interrogations, where the black sites were located, which planes were CIA planes, and on and on. They fought in court to have key Al Qaeda and Taliban captives released from prison (including Bin Ladin’s bodyguard and chauffeur.
Now that they are in command, a lot of that has stopped. And for the most part Repubs are loyal to the war effort, they are just perturbed that that kind of support was never there for them when it was their watch. The hypocrisy is pretty hard to take.
Of course she should drink more Brawndo. It's got what plants crave!
