I posted yesterday that something here did not add up.
Richard Fernandez has helped my math. The reason this doesn't add up can be explained in one word:
MISDIRECTION

Just like Washington, Dorner is using misdirection to disguise his motives and plans.

Brings me a little closer to understanding this.

The most likely scenario is that he is in Mexico and hooked up with the Zetas or one of the other cartels.

I think most of his actions are misdirections.
