The doosh knows not shame.

How about this? Then unemployment get back under 4% and GDP is higher than 3%, and, inflation is back below 2%, then he can reward HIS constituency.

Seems like these salaries were bumped up quite a bit right before the “freeze”.

Half of them are unnecessary anyways.

Here's my idea....Change their retirement benefits to use the average of their wages over the years instead of their wage at retirement.

I watched this game....an employee getting a huge raise....and then retiring 2 months later.

Psssst...the person who gave him the big fat raise was the best man at his wedding. Imagine that...

I propose an 10% DECREASE in pay for all Federal employees. They are already the most overpaid, underworked segment of our workforce, and I use that term “workforce” loosely. We could more than likely cut 50% of the federal employees and never miss them.

Not quite.

At present, if nothing changes, sequestration for the DoD enters into Tier 2, where Navy civilian personnel are looking a 22 days of furlough or a 20% pay cut for the rest of FY13.

They aren’t too sure if they are going to push the 1 day/ week or straight 22 day furlough plan yet.

This is just public posturing before the SHTF.

Once upon a time there were two farmers who were neighbors. They each had an ox that they were very proud of. They used their oxen to plow and pull wagons. The farmers, though neighbors, were not friends. Each was jealous of the other.
Farmer Smith said, “That Farmer Jones next door thinks his ox Babe is the best ox in this valley and everyone knows my ox Thunder is the best.”
Farmer Jones said, “Farmer Smith is always bragging about his ox Thunder, but my ox Babe is twice the animal. And it would serve him right if his crops failed because he just inherited that land.”
One day, the fence between the two farms fell over and the two oxen faced off. All the neighbors came to see what was going on. Farmer Jones ox Babe appeared to be winning. The neighbors were going to try and stop the fight but Farmer Jones said, “Let them be! This fight has been coming for a long time!”
Suddenly, Farmer Smith’s ox Thunder got the upper hand.
“Stop them!”, screamed Farmer Jones. “He’s killing my ox and my livelihood!”
“But you just said to let them fight”, said one neighbor.
“I know!”, said Farmer Jones, “But it all depends on whose ox is getting gored!”
I guess it all depends on whose ox is getting gored.

Is the government producing a product that is making a profit? Is the country as a whole making a profit?

1% pay hike for federal workers, but no breakfast for soldiers in Afghanistan. That sounds right, NOT!

1% raise is BS but it sends the wrong message. Any ethical admin would never even have suggested it.

Of course - everyone in the United States is out of work thanks to this *sshat, so... raise federal salaries.

Makes an Obama kinda sense.

in the administration’s fiscal 2014 budget proposal

Does this mean Obozo is actually going to send a budget plan to Congress next year?

Also this plan to increase pay 1% will go nowhere. It is simply fodder for the masses trying to convince the sheep that he is serious about spending cuts. Once 2014 rolls around his union buddies will get what they want.
