Jerry Hancock isn’t your typical minister. A clergy member at First Congregational Church of Christ, Hancock is one of a handful of former law enforcement officials — most prominently former Madison Police Chief David Couper, who left the police to become an Episcopal priest — who have entered the spiritual realm.
“When I was working through my transition, people would say, oh, you’re just like Couper,” Hancock says. “And that of course, was and continues to be a compliment. David is very concerned about gun violence.”

“gun violence?” What difference does it make if it’s violence carried out using a gun or a knife or a bomb? None, except that the left is trying desperately to take guns away from non-violent honest citizens, while deliberately leaving them in the hands of violent criminals.
More Jesus less violence, it’s amazing how I figured that out.
I believe gun violence can be curbed. And it doesn’t take a lot of money. Matter of fact, it doesn’t cost anything more than already being spent.
Have the police do their jobs. The taxpayer pays for all those hi tech vehicles and gear the cops use. Well? Use it.
It’s really a liberal problem. The libs lost the war on crime, drugs and poverty due to their own policies. Here is how you fix it.
1. Send every illegal immigrant and in prison back to their own country. Send their families with them.
2. Fill the prisons back up with criminals. A crime with an illegal gun is a life sentence.
3. Vote every liberal out of office so items 1 and 2 can be enacted.
