Dorner morphing into an anti-hero?
Hotair ^

I have, at times, been accused of being somewhat naive when it comes to modern culture, both by family members and readers alike. Perhaps you’re all on to something there, because I certainly never saw this coming. As the search continues for alleged cop killer Christopher Dorner, there is an emerging theme – at least on the West Coast – that perhaps Dorner is some sort of Robin Hood, standing up for the little guy and taking it to the corrupt LA police force.

"Support Growing For Former L.A. Officer Accused Of Killing Spree

Dorner lost his job with the Los Angeles Police Department in 2008. His manifesto vows revenge for that; and, surprisingly, thousands of people actually support him.

It’s hard to believe but there are those out there who sympathize with the man targeting police officers.

One Facebook page is proclaiming Dorner for president. “We propose electing a man who could no longer sit idly by and watch as malicious tyrants abuse the innocent.”

The description on “We Are All Chris Dorner” chillingly says, “Yes, this is war.”

There is so very many things going on right now that people can’t wrap their heads around. But like your example, it’s all there in the pages of history. And exactly as you say, the very same words and phrases are used.

Obama was truthful about one thing. He is completely transparent in what he is doing. It’s just that people don’t know where to look.

Hell if a couple regular people on the net can figure it out and document, it’s not like he’s hiding anything.

So gun owners would kill the cops children if they could?

If the cops on the raid were not sure they wouldn't come home to a smoking hole and bodies, maybe they would not go after gun owners with vigour. Maybe they'd stay home and play with their kids instead.

Consider that thought.

Because if it comes down to forcible seizure of previously legal firearms, it will take tactics on that level to stop the raids.

Direct confrontation will likely lose every time against body armoured, well trained, drilled, armoured vehicle driving forces with virtually every toy the military has at its disposal.

It's an ugly concept, but those would be ugly times if they come to pass.

The reason he has cheerleaders is because he is a left wing wacko, and so are they. If this was a right wing nut job killing cops and innocent relatives of cops they would be screaming for blood, his blood.

As I said last night...

Zodiac 2...coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

The same people running around pretending to be Guy Fawkes now have a real live one to call their own. They won’t do anything but lionize him until he becomes a liability to the cause. And so far he is helping several fronts of the left and anarchist cause immensely.

Trouble is, he’s focusing the right as well. Trouble for the left anyway.

I don't think this guy is a hero, far from it.

I think his grievances may be as much made up as not.

But then, all I "know" about the situation is what the Media say.

Consider that the mass media have handled Waco, Gordon Kahl, and Ruby Ridge with such unbiased fairness, and it almost makes you wonder.

Those raised on violent video games and gangsta rap will likely see someone 'heroic', getting back at "the man".

The difference is that Dorner is on the same side of the ideological fence as the media.

Dorner is a combination of The Great Society, Affirmative Action, an Obama voter, one of Holder’s people, and now - DJANGO!

You might be on to something here. Maybe there are some copycat DJANGOs out there? Maybe there is a lot of support for murdering people one is unhappy with in the DJANGO communities? DJANGO communities, populated by Holder’s people and Obama voters.

Just find it interesting that when a nutjob goes after specifically cops, there are thousands of cops out there gunning for him, but when some nutjob mass murderer is targeting civilians the response by law-enforcement is anemic.

Also find it interesting that two innocent civilian women get shot up in the process and no apparent consequence for the shooters who are cops.

The police in America have morphed into a paramilitary elitist clique with a distinct “us” versus “them” perspective never before seen in American law-enforcement.

It is chilling.

“He got kicked out in 2008 so why wait 5 years to rampage?”

The appeals process went on into 2011, then his dishonorable Naval Reserve discharge was just last week. I think getting drummed out of the Police force is what led to the Naval discharge.

I don't think he's a hero, but the actions of the LAPD have brought some things into perspective. 40 to 50 rounds were used by the police on the two Hispanic women. If it had been Dorner more would most likely have been required. The Chief of Police chalked it up to being a stressful situation.

But we civilians wouldn't have any use for a 30 round magazine because what is stressful about someone breaking into your house? It seems I read more and more about cops using dozens of rounds in situations that are no more dangerous than ones we might find ourselves involved.

I might sometimes question their judgement but I don't question their firepower. Don't question my firepower. You can judge me later.

“Just wait until the cops go after gun owners. There will be more of him.”

Ordinary people don’t just kill and then go on the run. That takes a personality dissociated from reality, other people and especially, family. Owning a gun and carrying it for protection is one strand in a hugely complex weave. Cops may show up at your door, humiliate you and take it away. If you fight back you break all of the other strands making up the tapestry of your life. When the government goes after your gun the only way to fight back is to support a candidate, vote, and go to court. Any more violent route makes you a liberal, not a conservative. With very few exceptions, it is liberals who make up the mass killers. I suspect Tim McVey (Oklahoma City bomber) is the exception who proves the rule. McVey’s bombing ended the militia movement, which was conservative.

Dormer described as:
A man who could no longer sit idly by, and watch as malicious tyrants
abuse the innocent.
I do not support or condone Dorners’ actions in any way, however,
rhetoric like that used to describe him on Facebook is very troubling
to those who continue to expand the role of government.
They will stop at nothing to get this man, even if it means that some who
are innocent are sacrificed in the process.

Seems like a historical type of community organizing that births the most violent and ruthless totalitarian regimes.

No truer statement ever said, as despotism raises its head. If folks think it's bad now, you haven't seen anything yet. Listen to the responses to all of this. It's all chilling. God has left the room.

The police attack on the two women completely changed the complexion of this story. I suspect there are many who see him as a form of “inglorious basterd”, if you get my drift (sans scalps).

I think many of these leftist racists see this as a form of Germany and the USSR duking it out on the russian front.

Watch gangs out there take advantage of this and start shooting at cops too figuring they will blame Dorner. This has the potential to get crazy out of hand considering how long he had to prepare and how many red herrings he seemingly has already dropped.
I’d ignore all the clues he’s gone and go with him still being in L.A. he’s over the edge and has no intention of leaving.
