The Rs should introduce bills in the house and senate tomorrow to confer citizenship on Obama’s guest, and should instruct the Sgt at arms to arrest the other one on whatever criminal charges are appropriate. Before SOTU the house should pass their bill by voice vote (or over a dem’ s objection), invite Reid to gavel in the Senate to do the same with all Rs voting aye, and hand the bill to TOTUS to sign. Then tip over the dadgum teleprompters. Wht would Davey Crockett do?

I am alm ost certain that it is a crime to cross into our country illegally. Bet I can find more than 1 description of such in the Patriot Act alone!!!

Of course it's a crime to cross into this country illegally, or to come here legally on a visa and then over-stay the visa. But the so-called "dreamers" came here as children or teens, and were brought by their parents, which makes it very difficult to show that they themselves committed a crime.

I do wish Congress would quit inviting the president over for this BS session. It's a political bunch of crap.

IIRC, Up until the time of the invention of the television, I believe that most of the State of the Union addresses were simply mailed to Congress. I think that the use of a "State of the Union address" as a speech is probably something that was developed after the age of radio and television.

No matter how you slice it, the speech has nothing to do with the "State of the Union" but is nothing more than a bunch of political BS.

I'll be watching reruns of Little Einsteins with my Granddaughter. BTW, she said her first words yesterday. "Gam-pa.". Needless to say, dad and grandma were jealous. :-)

Aiding an illegal alien is a crime.

And yet another illegal will be at the White House..U.S. Rep. Marc Veasey has invited an undocumented immigrant from Texas to attend President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.

The undocumented immigrant to attend Obama’s speech with Veasey, D-Fort Worth, is Julieta Garibay. The 32-year-old woman moved from Mexico to Austin with her parents when she was 12-years-old.

Garibay is a graduate of the University of Texas, where she received nursing degrees.I’d like to know who paid for those nursing degrees ? How can an illegal pass a background check to work in a hospital ? I know they must train in hospitals and that would require a SSN...Looks like crime does pay..Obama said under 31 now a 32 year old criminal will be a V.I.P. in Washington..Our laws are being ignored period..

Some Rep. invited Ted Nugent; not comparing him to code pink but I think it’s cool he’ll be there.

Surprise, Surprise ............Many members of Congress are reserving their guest passes to Tuesday’s State of the Union address for victims of gun violence to serve as an emotional and visual example of the need for President Obama’s gun-control agenda.

But Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez will use his invite to highlight another topic expected to get a mention in Obama’s speech — immigration.

Luis V. Gutierrez (Helayne Seidman — For The Washington Post)
Gutierrez announced Monday that he’s invited Gabino Sanchez, a South Carolina man who is fighting deportation from the United States, to attend the speech. Gutierrez has been working on behalf of Sanchez to help him secure legal residency in the United States, accompanying him to three Immigration and Customs Enforcement appointments.

which makes it very difficult to show that they themselves committed a crime.

Whose Social Security Number is he using? If isn't using a stolen number then he isn't paying taxes. Both of these actions are criminal.

If he drives he is doing so illegally too. I guarantee he is breaking more laws than this. None of the illegals bother with insurance either.

You might change your tune a little if a drunk illegal wreaks out your family or a few get together and gang rape your wife, daughter or mother. Both of these acts are sports to many illegal alien criminal scumbags.

Did you vote once for obama or numerous times?

I understand that even the so-called “dreamers” who were brought here as children cause problems, and may be breaking other laws. I’m just referring to the legal (and admittedly technic) distinction between the criminal act of crossing the border illegally (which most of the so-called “dreamers” likely could not be convicted of, as they were brought here as minors) and the civil viation of remaining in the United States without documentation (which the so-called dreamers are most certainly guilty of). Again, it’s admittedly a semantic issue, as they can and should be deported for even the civil violation. I just think that since the entire immigration issue is based on compliance with our various immigration laws, it’s important that we get even the semantic terms right.

Oh, and I voted for Obama zero times. Palin in ‘08, sat home in ‘12 (not that it matters much, here in deep-blue NYC)

Fair point. I hadn’t seen the picture of this guy. Doesn’t look like any 20-year old I’ve ever seen.

Another slap in the face of every American Patriot who swears Allegiance to the Constitution, follows the Laws of the Land and respects the fact that the United States of America is a Sovereign Nation. We are ruled by the Party of Treason, not Reason.

If you drive without a valid license or insurance you are breaking criminal law.

If you have stolen someones identity or aren’t paying taxes you are breaking criminal law.

It is not semantics, it is facts.

If odinga or holder were interested in prosecuting this guy he would be hit by a drone or on his way to Gitmo already. We both know that.

Ted Nugent to Attend State of the Union
Monday, February 11, 2013 06:43 PM

A Republican congressman says he’s invited rocker Ted Nugent, who has referred to President Barack Obama’s administration as “evil, America-hating,” to the State of the Union address.

Rep. Steve Stockman of Texas said Monday on his website that Nugent will be his guest for the president’s speech Tuesday night. Stockman has talked of impeaching Obama over his gun control proposals.
