This is a tough year for “Aisle Hogs.”
These “Hogs” — famous for staking out aisle seats so they can get a special, solo moment with the President of the United States as he walks down the center aisle of the House of Representatives before delivering the annual State of the Union address — are legendary in Washington.
And thanks to YouTube (see video below), they are famous worldwide.
But the Aisle Hogs have been decimated this year by departures from Congress.
Four of the six most famous Aisle Hogs — as they were semi-officially dubbed by Salon.com — are gone in one year. Rep. Dale Kildee of Michigan retired. Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio was defeated. Rep. Jean Schmidt of Ohio was defeated. And Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. of Illinois resigned amid a criminal investigation.
That leaves just two of the Hall of Fame hogs: Houston’s own Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee and the ever-reliable Eliot Engel of New York.
All of these lawmakers (with the except of Schmidt) are Democrats.

Bobby Rush always gets hugs. None of the commentators seem to know who he is, or don’t want to refer to him by name.
These so-called Aisle Hogs have self-esteem issues if they are camping out hours just to get their 15 seconds of fame by shaking the hand of the President.
I remember Cynthia McKinney was another aisle hog. She even rushed to get a hug and kiss from GWB, while condemning him from the floor of Congress every other day of the year, same as SJL.

It is common knowledge here that SJL never met a camera she didn’t like.

The most dangerous place in Washington is any point between Schmucky Schumer and a camera.
It's also common knowledge that no camera that SJL has ever met liked her.
Soooo when will Sheila going to Mars to retrieve the American Flag?
The rocks, the soap and the hammers are good for something.
Sheila used to grab hold of Dubya for a big kiss as he came down the aisle. The next day she would be calling him a war monger baby killer.
Ha, aisles are the least of Sheila “Don’t You Know Who I Am” Jackson Lee’s hog moments.
