Ripping Hagel a new one about compensation/speeches.
Now, quoting Harry Reid!! about refusal to submit financials equals the person has something to hide. Couldn’t hear what confirmation he was referring to but stuck it to Dingy.
Oh yeah! Ted Cruz ROCKS!
Levin is now saying it’s a 2 year rule.
Cruz won’t let go!
He is RIGHT ON!
We are entitled to know about foreign compensation!
As would so many of today's Washington Republicans. But hey, they have an "R" after their name so we need to support them, right?
Corsair Fund?
Where did that $200K come from?
Hagel could not or would not say.
I would like to slap him all the way to Cuba!
Good grief, who dug up Nelson? What a babbling fool. LOL.
Bill Nelson in professor mode..
Waiting for him to slap Cruz in the hand with a ruler
Thinks Cruz was being meanie pants!
I have hope Inhofe will block this one.
Cruz responding!
Woo-Hoo!
Smack down! Take that Bill Nelson, snarky wimp!
Darn, I missed it. Hope Ted whacked him good.
The man has never had an original thought since the Clinton impeachment hearings.
>We can’t defeat any of Obama’s nominees because we failed to win back the Senate in 2010/2012.
Two easy wins were victims of legitimate rape.
He did!
Dont let the facts get in the way of the rants now
Just as I knew he would. He’s worse than a democrat.
That would be an improvement!
Go ahead, confirm the SOB.
The quicker we abandon Israel, the sooner this “grand experiment” can be over and done with.
Come, Lord Jesus.
No qualifications whatsover to be Sec of Defense and these worthless parasites, both democrats and republicans will vote to put him in charge of the largest government agency in the world., in charge of the nation’s military. He has never sat on the Armed Services Committee or any other type of military committee. Anyone that confirms him after hearing him try and speak last week needs to be voted out of office. Making him Sec of Defense is a joke. Any homeless person sleeping under a bridge has as much experience as Hagel does.......which is none.
His only “qualification” is supporting the african king for president and his bashing of GW Bush.
” - - - Levin said last week he saw no problem - - - “
Yup, after 30 years or so of being in Washington DC the main brain stem turns to jello.
BTW, do you think it is the water?
You forgot “muslim friendly” in your rant.
Amazing isn't it. Conservatives need to create some kind of Candidate School where our politicians go to learn how to talk like a normal human beings and not say offensive stuff about rape. Good grief, when it comes to subjects like that just stick to the damn script.
I vaguely remember a guy named John Bolton who Pres Bush tried to appoint as UN Ambassador. I guess only some elections have consequences.
and America takes another one in the........Raise your hand if you really thought a minority of the minority party in the Senate was really going to be able to stop this.
Obama’s cabinet goes from being dumb to being dumber...and more dangerous.
Like I’d listen to some chatter-head on the squawk box; it’s easy enough to see to get my blood boiling myself. I moved out of the State of my birth (MD) shortly after my 22nd year. If it is a 30 yr. threshold, I’m glad I made it.
Unfortunately, IMHO, We the People have allowed the swamp to become a ‘hive of villainy and corruption’, starting ~100 years ago already. I trust no one and nothing coming from inside the cesspool. Just wait ‘til ‘14 starts to roll around and the ‘think tanks’ and 507 and ...start begging with open hand, as if they care the downfall before them.
We, I am afraid to say (again, IMHO), have seen the best of America already. We are watching the accelerated fall of the Republic. Let the bread and circuses continue!
And what made anyone think this would be different? Especially after the (what was it) 3 against traitor Kerry as SoS?
These assholes would be confirming Castro if dumbo nominated him to any cabinet position.
The committee GOP'ers were outnumbered, plain and simple, with no recourse to "block", "put a hold" or "filibuster" the nomination.
With-holding (sic) judgement until we see what the full Senate votes here...IMHO, there's a good chance Hagel will get thus far and no further, but we'll have to wait and see if any take the opportunity...

I fail to see how Chuck Hagel is any worse than Hillary Clinton or John Kerry, both of whom were confirmed without so much as a peep of protest.
Chuck Hagel obviously isn't anybody's ideal choice, but the bottom line is that nobody Obama selects for any cabinet post is going to be. So why is there so much opposition to Hagel when people who are worse than him on many issues breezed right through?
His opponents should be consistent. Either fight all of Obama's appointments tooth and nail, or, if you let somebody like Hillary through, call it a foregone conclusion and let them all through. Otherwise, it looks as though Hagel's GOP opponents are acting on a personal grudge instead of on principle.
What I remember is that Aburdene is a campaign contributor to Hagel through one of his PACs. But if you look further, you will see that Hagel has been part of a bunch of commissions to all parts of the world, and oddly enough the name Aburdene pops up among the other members of the commission. It is my guess that these are all members of the same family.

That old post reminded me of the Lebanese woman involved as the “socialite” character in the exposure of Gen. David Petreaus to draw heat off of the Benghazi abandonment scandal. She was from some notable big family in Lebanon. And she also had ties to Obama’s other new nominee for Sec of State John Kerry....
which brings to mind this administration’s habitual arms smuggling ...and this bit from Hagel’s past defending Iranian arms smuggling :
(ISRAEL CAPTURES THE IRANIAN VESSEL THE KARINNA A -— SEE HAGEL) There’s something very odd about Chuck Hagel. He’s been among a very small minority of Senators to vote against resolutions in support of Israel; and when the Israelis captured that Iranian vessel, the Karinna A., with arms destined for the Palestinians, he said immediately that we shouldn’t believe the Israelis, that they were just trying to stir things up against Iran.————72 posted on 01/11/2007 5:54:11 PM PST by BusterBear | To 6
Thanks, piasa.
Must be the other shoe dropped — they got a look at whomever was next on the list.
Thanks xzins.

“All Obama nominees are severely flawed. ESPECIALLY Hagel.”
owebama doesn’t want anyone in his cabinet who will outshine him. He is the most flawed pResident in history so he’s got to come up with losers like hagel, brennan, kerry, etc. who are worse than he is. He really has to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find them.
As did Soros....and started to build his multi-billion dollar “trust”.
Why is this man still alive?
Hagel = Bumbling Moron
Brennan = Stealth Moslem Brotherhood Activist
Kerry = Arrogant traitor & liar
All political pawns thoroughly compromised and totally unprincipled.
EX: Justice Roberts stated he adopted a pair of babys ten years ago from "Latin America" in his hearings. These Blond, blue-eyed babys have recently been reported as "IRISH born". Irish law allows for only Irish nationals to adopt Irish born children. If Roberts indeed engaged in human trafficking, Obama owns him too. Saul Alinsky Chicago politic 101.

Well since they're all a bunch of Horses A$$es, I think I'd have to agree and the proof is in that pudding!
