Christopher Dorner was a Navy Intelligence Officer as I was. He lost his Top Secret Security Clearance in the Naval Reserve when he was fired from the LA Police for making untrue statements about a fellow officer who he says kicked a homeless man in the face. Without a security clearance, there are no positions for you. He was dismissed and then Dorner’s wife left him.

No job. No military reserve. No chance to retire from the Navy Reserve. No income. No wife. All over what, his complaint that he saw a female officer kick a homeless man in the face and the force would do nothing about it.

My son played football with Dorner at SUU where they both graduated and my son, who is now a prosecuting attorney, believes Dorner was fired unfairly.

While I don’t condone murder under any circumstances, those who have suffered an injustice in their lives will have much sympathy for Dorner.

Officer Michael Crain and the rookie cop Crain was training weren’t even looking for Dorner when he shot killing Crain and wounding the unnamed rookie.

Crain was a training officer because of his even temper and ability to spot potential problems with new recruits.

That and the fact that civilian bystanders claimed that they didn't see it happen either.

There is so much more to the Dorner story that I'm sure Chris Matthews is loath to mention.

Like the fact that he is a BIG Obama supporter.

He is a big fan of Piers Morgan and his "disarming the citizens" crusade.

In liberal idiot world, normal law abiding citizens should voluntarily turn over their guns to men such as Dorner - law enforcement men with solid gun training.

We have a former Detroit cop living in my tiny town of 150 people. He came here to work on our little 5 man force (which has since been eliminated)

He says it took some serious readjustment and retraining to go from the worst of the worst to a little town where he mostly wrote speeding tickets. He came from a place where he was trained to assume everyone was armed and a potential threat to a place where everyone was openly armed and virtually no one is a threat.

When our police department was eliminated he couldn’t bear the idea of going back to the city where he had to worry about gang members targeting his family. Instead he chose to finish his previous education in electronics and today works on computers from his home down the street.

We don’t even have cops now aside from the Sheriff’s deputy that rolls through about once a month.

You don’t kill because you were fired nor slighted!

How is it ‘unfair’ to fire a cop who makes up a lie that could destroy the career of another cop? Why would we want a lying cop on any police force? Would your prosecutor son want a lying cop on the stand,, giving false testimony in a case he was prosecuting?
