Liberal media lavish praise on Obama but mercilessly mock Rubio's water break
Fox News.com ^ | February 13, 2013 | Dan Gainor

If Santa Claus had a State of the Union speech, it would sound much like President Obama’s latest. In it, Obama detailed a Christmas list of “investments” on Tuesday night that he wants government to make. In all, he included 11 separate versions of the term “invest” to indicate government spending – your tax dollars. The solution to all that spending was, of course, more taxes when Republicans have already said “no new taxes.”

Naturally, the media loved it. MSNBC’s Ed Schultz called it “a stunning speech tonight.” CNN’s Jessica Yellin said Obama was “relaxed and confident.” Politico’s summary was spot on: “State of the Union reaction: Media gives Obama thumbs up.”

But when it came to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) making one of the most important speeches a Hispanic has ever made in America? The media conclusion was he was all wet – literally.

I wouldn’t know. To me, watching the SOTU with that thieving, lying, sack of puss in the WH is akin to purposely driving my car into a tree. I already know the end result.

I watched the Westminster Kennel Club show but checked during the commercial (with the mute button on) if he was done with his lying. Then I watched and listened to Marco Rubio’s speech. I wanted to watch Rand Paul’s speech also, but Fox News never showed it

I couldn't watch it either, I had more important things to do, emptying the kitty litter box was number 1, washing it was number 2, refilling it was number 3...

(Yes we have two cats-both Chocolate Point Himalayans..and their needs come before the current POTUS.)

The wife and I certainly couldn’t stand to listen to Obama for any length of time, and we only caught a few words from Rubio. So this morning out of need for self-flagellation I visited DummyUnderground to get their reaction to the Dorner manhunt. Virtually all their posts were about Rubio and the water bottle break. So an opposing politician takes a drink of water, and this is far more important than what he says? I didn’t see the water break, but I couldn’t care less.

I am outraged! Main stream media reports Rubio is "all wet" and they laugh?! This is CLEARLY dog whistle speak screaming, "Rubio is a wet back! Lets all laugh at him!"

We shouldn't have to put up with this racism. I stand with Americans of proud Mexican heritage and I DEMAND apologies from all those bigoted racist news outlets that attacked Rubio with racial slurs and ridicule! Disgusting hate filled speach like that should not be tolerated!

Liberal media simply showed their ignorance by making fun of Rubio for taking a drink of water. Laughing at a sip of water shows the maturity and depth of the MSM’s intellect.

Well, as far as I know, the media didn’t call him a “wetback”, but their obsession with his water is worrisome ...

Obama Meets the Press—for Lunch

The lunch is an annual affair. “The annual lunch, which is off-the-record, allows the president to frame his upcoming speech before influential figures in TV news, all of whom will be leading or part of their networks’ coverage later on.

Even some of the inside-the-beltway Republicans criticized Rubio for taking a drink of water.

Laughing at a drink of water illustrates some of the ignorance of liberals. Other ignorance of liberals involves the inability to add and subtract...as illustrated by their willingness to acquire more debt for a financially overdrawn country. Liberals have no inkling of basic arithmetic facts. Nothing we can do for them now, they are too old to learn.

“I watched the Westminster Kennel Club show...”

I could only bear fifteen seconds, but the immediate impression, while watching those psychotic, adolescent Progressives milling about, was that of the proverbial
Star Wars bar scene.

IMHO

When Liberals focus on Rubio pausing for a sip of water it shows you how little substance they have. They can’t argue the political points effectively so they go after a water break. By the way, I had a great evening. I missed the SOTU due to a high school basketball game. Far more entertaining.
