Finally a humble politician. . . Stupid media, if it was Obama, they would have declared it the greatest drink of water ever.

I love that response. Unfortunately, the commie lib atheists in the state controlled “media” won’t understand it.

Or they would sworn it had changed into white wine as soon as his lips touched it.

Our entertainment-driven world today generally mistakes style for substance. And I think the same influences that make people hyper-sensitive to defects in superficial qualities also tend to cause people to be blind to failures in substance.

Sounds like God is always foremost on his mind. That’s a good sign.

I am liking Rubio more and more. Solid christian who might have some different political views than myself, but really explains why He does things the way He does.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Solid Christian AND Patriot. Boy, he really appreciates his life here. It’s what the USA is/was always about.

I’m surprised the media isn’t speculating whether that actually WAS water he was drinking out of the bottle.

Agree completely. Like I said, I don’t agree with all His views, but He is an excellent communicator.

Rubio was fantastic. Love his rebuttal. I believe that was a Reaganesque speech.

I agree.

Not sure whether Rubio is who we want for president, but then again not sure he isn’t.

He did just fine.

Listened to it over am so I didn’t catch the search for water. What I did miss is the applause between some excellently delivered lines and don’t understand why these rebuttals are not delivered before a group of supporters which would enhance the visual presentation. After discussions last year I thought that was going to be done.

Rubio was on Fox and Friends this AM. He brought his water bottle along with him and he was joking about it. He said that when you give a speech at a podium, there is always water for you. Might have been classier if he had had a glass of water there rather than a bottle, but what the hey.

I listened to his speech instead of watching it, so I didn’t see the interruption. It was a good speech, IMO, not great and very similar in substance to his speech at the convention. At the convention, he was much more animated because that suited the situation with the enthusiastic audience.

It’s hard to deliver a speech to a camera. While just listening, he sounded pretty bland, but I didn’t see his facial expressions and gestures. If he had over emoted for a radio audience, I’m sure it would have looked fakey on TV. So I think the tone was probably good for the TV audience.

He is a very good communicator and I think he really shines in an impromptu conversational setting. Needs some more work on delivering a good speech. People can help him with that.

I would have enjoyed hearing it in Spanish. It’s probably on You Tube in Spanish.

Actually it would have been cool if he gave the address in his kitchen. Then during the middle of it he stood up and went and retrieved something out of the fridge while continue to tall. I think he needs to show his human side and connect. But none of that matters unless he gets his act together on immigration. He is all over the place on that issue trying to pander to everyone and find middle ground.

I like the man, but I’m not convinced he is qualified to be president as far as experience is concerned.

During the Spanish language portion of his speech, Rubio didn’t reach for water but he did take a big gulp of agua.
