BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. — As police scoured mountain peaks for days, using everything from bloodhounds to high-tech helicopters, the revenge-seeking ex-cop they wanted was hiding among them, holed up in a vacation cabin across the street from their command post.
It was there that Christopher Dorner apparently took refuge last Thursday, four days after beginning a deadly rampage that would claim four lives.

Who is Christopher Dorner? This is all the guns fault.
I expect that the body is Dorner. However, given that the media botched reporting on Sandy Hook, I will not trust news reports. Waiting for official confirmation from the authorities.

I thought his license was found near Mexico a few day before he went to Big Bear?

The cabin was an inferno for hours. They body would have incinerated, even bones burned to a crisp. But we are supposed to be believe a plastic drivers license was found.
And I believe in the tooth fairy. Not saying he didn’t get burned to a crisp, but making possible identification is impossible.
They need to do a DNA test after the wild animals are done.
The federal affidavit says "wallet and identification cards" were found by Detective Anschick, near the U.S. Mexico border.
The LAPD returned it to him.
I was certain of that myself, so I looked again this morning — they were very careful to always say only “ID” or “photo ID” there at the border, not “driver’s license”.
The guy is not stupid, just insane.
Until, I read the coroners report with DNA evidence, he is not dead.
Dental records will work. He was in Navy so they have records to compare. Let “Bones” handle it.
Scrape up the garbage and give it a DNA test. Then take the rest of it and feed it to the worms.
