Indeed, a childish spectacle - led by the ultimate quota baby.
The ultimate example of everything that is sordid about liberalism.

That’s why I don’t watch. It’s all a big dog and pony show, and a painfully boring one at that. Once SOTU was a chance for the president to put forth his vision, what are our challenges, what course does he see through them, once applause started happening it became just another stump speech.

Why would Scalia lend any credibility to Elena Kagan or even deign to impart his exploits with her on a “hunting trip?”

Ive at least listened to all or most of them in my adult life, but last night was the first time I intentionally did not. I know what you mean. I quit watching them after 'W's' first one. They have become nothing more than pontificated gibberish.

It has become trivial.
There are no statesmen in Washington. Wisdom has been banished. In its place is a reality show, immature, posturing moral brutes in expensive clothing.
We are Rome, 350 AD.

No wonder those who play at “governing” hate Justice Scalia. He is not PC. We are sinking as a nation, and those on board the ship don’t want anyone to notice the imminent catastrophe.

Its like the Academy Awards, the Grammys, etc.
Like-minded (and closed group) of people gathering themselves to congratulate themselves and one another.
Mr. hummingbird recorded BO's One-Man Show but I haven't watched it yet
Did anyone notice whether "Aisle Hog" Sheila Jackson Lee get face time or a handshake of kiss from BO?

President Camacho is far more entertaining:

Four years ago, newly elected President Barack Obama promises to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. An intelligent society would have voted his ass out when it had the opportunity to. We are a nation of dolts.

No, we now call statesmen, “politicians.” As bad as calling a Car Dealership, used car salesmen. Equally bad. I trust no politician, republican, dimocrat, whatever. None of them.

Thanks for that link,a song sung in English by apparently a Japanese vocalist-—never heard it before and not sure what you intended by posting it in this thread, except for the (to me)obvious one.

President Camacho is far more entertaining: Aha! Another "Idiocracy" fan!
Anybody who doesn't know who President Camacho is, needs to get the movie "Idiocracy".
We're there right now.

From the article....
Prodded by Totenberg, Scalia also commented on the hunting ability of Justice Elena Kagan, who has joined Scalia to shoot quail, pheasant and larger animals. Last year, on a trip to Wyoming, they had a license to go after antelope and mule deer. But there were none to be found. Instead, "she ended up killing a white-tailed doe, which she could have done in my driveway" in suburban Virginia, Scalia said. He said Kagan, who never handled a gun before joining the court, is just a beginner, but "she dropped that doe in just one shot."
Wait til liberals and enviroweeines read that. Their tiny brains will explode
To: Sub-Driver
If anyone got elected who gives a damn about this country they’d send a letter to congress “from time to time” and stop the dog and pony and Sheila Jackson “lip smackin’” Lee show.
