Obama to push universal preschool proposal By Rachel Rose Hartman, Yahoo! News | The Ticket – 1 hr 28 mins ago

Two days after his State of the Union pledge to guarantee high quality preschool for every 4-year-old in the U.S., President Barack Obama takes his pitch on the road on Thursday to an Atlanta suburb where he will deliver a speech on the issue at a local recreation center.

Obama cast his preschool plan as a way to bring low-income and minority children up to speed with higher-income children—a move he says would save taxpayer money and give those children greater opportunity to succeed over their lifetimes.

"Every dollar we invest in high-quality early childhood education can save more than seven dollars later on by boosting graduation rates, reducing teen pregnancy, even reducing violent crime," Obama said in his State of the Union remarks. "In states that make it a priority to educate our youngest children, like Georgia or Oklahoma, studies show students grow up more likely to read and do math at grade level, graduate high school, hold a job, form more stable families of their own."

The president is set to speak at 1:20 p.m. ET at the Decatur Community Recreation Center, after a tour of a local pre-kindergarten classroom.

The fact is that children actually raised, educated and trained in the HOME are less likely to show up on the police blotter.

oops - can’t say that. What about the social(ism)ization?

Bingo. Isn’t it great that we still get to pay for all these bastard children we didn’t sire? What a wonderful place America is becoming. I’m beginning to think we should set up free spay clinics to serve Democrat females.

Obama cast his preschool plan as a way to bring low-income and minority children up to speed with higher-income children.

On the plus side it gives the low-income and minority children a chance to see what a father looks like at pick up time.

They need their parents around more, but they can’t be since they have to work long hours to pay the taxes that go to slackers who vote democrat.

If that is why they are working long hours, they are part of the problem. In fact, anyone who pays income tax is feeding the beast they claim to loathe.

Overheard in a future government run preschool:

“OK, let’s all try to put our condoms on our banana. Timothy! We don’t eat the banana, we insert the banana, see? Oh, everyone look at Hannah. She’s got the idea.”
“Story time! Let’s sit on the carpet. Today we get to read “Mary has two mommies!”

Why does the federal government bother to do studies if they are then going to choose to ignore the results. Here is a study commissioned by the Department of Health and Human Services that concluded that Head Start was a waste of resources. Read it for yourself.

They must have read “Walden II”, a utopian wet dream. Parents are discouraged from raising their own children.

The transformation will be partially accomplished through our children. Soon, even 4-years old will not be early enough.

What's the definition of insanity again?

The prior version of this idiocy was a total failure, by the White House's own "Federal Programs Report Card."

Change the name and hope for a sane result?

“At conception.”

If they decide to let the kid live, they can schedule him/her for socialist programming to begin immediately after birth. It sickens me to think that children would do better with ANYONE but their parents at this tender young age.

The “State” would serve the population best by making it possible, through their policies, for average families to be able to have decent standards of living on one parent’s wages so that mothers (if they so choose) can remain home to nurture the precious “next generation.”

That being said, I would venture to say that some children, no matter what their age, are in unhealthy/unsafe family situations and would probably be better off in the care of strangers at pre-school, anyways. A sad statement, I know.

The left will try to figure out a way to exclude those who “escape” from the ability to earn a living or consume goods.

IE, mark of the beast.

It will be interesting to see what kind of sexual education the Nanny state will come up with for pre-schoolers in the next few years.

Preschool is not a necessity, and many children fare better in the home environment in these formative years.

The reason Obama is promoting this is not for the sake of the children, it is for his own reasons.

The fact is that children actually raised, educated and trained in the HOME by their married mother and father are less likely to show up on the police blotter.

oops - can't say that. What about the social(ism)ization?

My addition to your comment will really get them going.
