President Obama didn’t make any phone calls the night of the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, the White House said in a letter to Congress released Thursday.
“During the entire attack, the president of the United States never picked up the phone to put the weight of his office in the mix,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican, who had held up Mr. Obama’s defense secretary nominee to force the information to be released.
Mr. Graham said that if Mr. Obama had picked up the phone, at least two of the Americans killed in the attacks on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi might still be alive because he might have been able to push U.S. aid to get to the scene faster.
The White House has said Mr. Obama was kept up to date on the attack by his staff, though after being alerted to the attack in a pre-scheduled afternoon meeting he never spoke again with the defense secretary or the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The Present Resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue voted present on Benghazi. This way he could avoid any responsibility for Benghazi. Just like he delayed Seal Team Six for Osama Bin Laden - if it turned out bad - take no responsibility, if it was successful - Obama takes credit for it. Thus in turn he kills off many of Seal Team Six by notifying the insurgents (his comrades) that they were on another mission.
There, now I feel better!
No phone calls. No emergency situation room meeting called. WTF??!!!! Now we know who killed Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty: Negligent homicide by the Commander-In-Chief.
Well, his highness ought to be losing a little sleep over this. Impeach the SOB.
The President Who Wasn’t There........
Does anyone know that he wasn’t already in Vegas and was just flown back once they finally got ahold of him in time for his press conference?
Yup - Maybe Hitlary took it between the eyes for the fuhrer - for the stand down order. But would she have had authority? Where was Obama and what was he doing? Seems like either way, both of them are roast duck.
wonder where he was and what he was doing..............could it have been deliberate?
Drunk? On drugs? They are hiding something. Where are the survivors?
You know, this could be a turning point in the whole Obama Presidency.
Each of us(I have been doing this for months) need to call Senators and Congressmen, both our own and those on the relevant committees, whether Dem or GOP, and demand answers on Benghazi.
This President and his administration thought they could deny, lie, delay, and obsfuscate long enough for this to fall off the public’s radar.They ALMOST succeeded.
We cannot let that happen.
We need to talk to folks around the water cooler as well and keep this alive.
This faux President cannot be allowed to get away with this dereliction of duty. Get the buzz going on this crime and why “it DOES make a difference”.
Lindsey Graham was great on Brett Baier’s Special Report tonight. They are not letting go, and we need to encourage them to keep going.
We need to get to the bottom of what the President and Clinton did or didn’t do.
This is an impeachable offense.
And yeah, the whiners will be here to say, what good will it do, they’ll never convict. Blah, blah,blah.
Can it. Do something or just shut up. This country is in mortal danger, and that means those you hold dear are in danger also.
Are you going to whine and moan or are you going to DO something that is in your power to do?
Well, doing nothing is an option. And there are a lot of Democrat Senators up for re-election in 2014.
I remember Watergate. It was a non stop barrage for two years plus until Nixon resigned. And no one died in Watergate.
The cover-up is worse than the crime they say.
Well the crime is horrific, and the cover-up is worse.
Obama needs to be held to account, and Clinton seen as damaged goods for 2016.
It’s a two-fer.
It is easy now to pick up a phone, and to talk to friends and family and wake them up to what has occurred.
It is a lot harder to fight for freedom with your life on the line.
Which is what is coming.

Has anyone said why all of those CIA folks were in Benghazi to start with?

“If we find out we that there was a big breakdown, and somebody didn’t do their job, they’ll be held accountable,” he said, before taking responsibility for the event. “Ultimately, as commander-in-chief, I’m responsible, and I don’t shy away from that responsibility. My No. 1 responsibility is to go after the folks who did this, and we’re going to make sure we get them.”
