HEBER CITY, Utah (AP) U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz flew home from Washington last week, leaving behind a capital baffled by Republicans like him in Congress: those who stubbornly refuse to compromise with President Barack Obama, a tactic that some see as damaging the GOP brand and pushing the nation repeatedly to the brink of fiscal chaos.

Yes, the American people are stupid. Face it we are becoming a nation of booger eating morons.
Why should they? A compromise with evil is by definition evil. Although the media won't admit it and can't understand it, not everyone wears knee pads like they do in the presence of the annointed one.

Wishful thinking - they hate the GOP ho matter how innefectual its opposition to the tyranny of the one because THEY HATE ANYTHING THAT DOESN'T FALL DOWN AND WORSHIP THE ONE. Well just under (sadly) half of the country hates him, his lickspittle toadies in the media, his accomplices in the Kongress and everything he stands for. The 0bama philosophy is the antithesis of everything those of us who believe the USA was great because of individuals hold to be self-evident truths.
The Republicans won enough House seats to know they have a lot of support in this country. Obama beat Romney, but that was against a RINO; many people in this country do not support the Obamunists.
Someone remind me - how many republicans in congress - total - voted for the $850 billion union pension bailout package, which was built into the baseline and resulted in an exploding deficit every year since?
No compromise with Democrats, all they care about is power and control. They have lost their way.
That's his Alinsky tactic way of saying these are not "legitimate" Representatives. Of course, he would Never say that about a lot of Democrat districts.
It’s all about entitlement reform. The irony is that should we not stop our crazy spending we will one day reach financial armegedod, however; by standing strong are our principle to avert this calamity we are portrayed as non-compromising baffoons in the media. The truth is ‘compromising for the last 33 years’ is what has got us into this financial predicament. I wish someone in public would use this line. Sure, we’ve always raised the debt ceiling with no questions asked in the past and yes, we’ve never touched Medicare, Medicaid, and SS in the past budget discussions, but isn’t that the exact problem? Until the Dems realistically and seriously address entitlement reform I have nothing to say to them. And, thats where we are...isn’t it?
Sad. Why did they use Mormon Chaffetz? He is a stooge. Another plant. I saw him attack people last year for opposing his idol Mitt Romney in the primaries. He is someone I won’t listen to if he comes on a news show. Guy jumped in bed with Romney early.
U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz and scores more like him actually represent constituencies which produce something besides lawyers, entertainers, journalists and other assorted tax consumers. Let the Caffetz type districts refuse to trade with and remit to the tax consuming congressional districts and see who suffers first.
