Perhaps Biden can be the first human sent to Mars.

You need to be HUMAN to be the first human to do something... :-)

Exactly Congress changed, went South after 2006 and they demanded everything that put the economy into a death spiral! Banks were threatened with every law suit under the sun if they didn't "change" banking regs and loan anything anyamoutnof money to anyone. We now see the result of all that.

Problem is Bush got the blame through expert lying, triangulation, astroturfing by David Axelrod et. all, the press, dbm, And, since Bush never stood up for himself and we never stood up for him, we have been loosing ever since other than 2010.

Let's hope both have learned better.

CNN, how is that Bush's fault??

I suspect during his administration some funding was cut from some low-level boilerplate bureau within the Dept. of Transportation that was responsible for inspecting plumbing on cruise ships.

IMO, there are going to be several “ArchDuke Ferdinand Moments”: mandatory registration &nconfiscation of firearms, mags & ammo, confiscation of bank/investment/all financial accounts, confiscation of ‘prepper’ supplies, determination that vets/tea party/conservatives etc are ‘domestic terrorists’, neutralization of US Courts & US Congress, cancellation of 2016 GE and martial law declared etc. The list could be huge, or might wind-up culminating from 3-4-5 ‘flashpoint events’.

And, since Bush never stood up for himself and we never stood up for him

Many of us DID stand up for Bush. During his first term, the Dems did everything they could to prevent a second term including trying to compare Iraq to Vietnam and comparing our decent economy to Herbert Hoover. I had issues with him in the first term, but stood with him in 2004 for the sake of our troops. I have never been a fan of his domestic policies, but was hoping for the "Ownership Society" that he ran on and tried to move forward with until McCain and Pals lined up against him. Who knows any more. Maybe that was all a big smokescreen move too.

This article is actually rather funny if you would just substitute Bush's name for Obama and makes it clear the HYPOCRISY of the left:

Squandering Prosperity - George W. Bush has the worst economic record of any president since Herbert Hoover

The big blame that they connect to Bush is that he SPENT AWAY the "surplus" of Bill Clinton. Now here is a question for all on here.....We had a tech boom and then bust under Clinton. From 1995 to 2001, Republicans actually had control of BOTH houses. Now who would be held responsible for the lazy bookkeeping that was occurring during those years? I mean if the Democrats in Congress are responsible for not reforming rules to avoid the housing bubble, who is responsible for the tech bubble?

One more random post from my Googling:

How did Lenin adapt Marxism to conditions in Russia?

The "dictatorship of the proletariat" is NOT a Leninist adaptation of Marxist theory. It was Karl Marx's idea. See Marx's "Critique of the Gotha Programme".

Marx himself predicted that between the workers' revolution against the capitalist system and the total elimination of all vestiges of capitalism there would have to be a transition period. This transition period would have the difficult job of ensuring that persons still dedicated to capitalism did not force the country back to it. The workers would have to take charge of the government by way of a dictatorship of the proletariat.

According to Marx this would not be a dictatorship such as some "communist" countries turned into. It would be a government of democratically elected officials with the exception that the capitalists would not be permitted to participate in it.

The main adaptation to conditions in Russia was that Lenin did not wait until Russia became industrialized and its peasant farmers turned into exploited factory workers as in Germany. Russia was mainly peasant farmers with little industrialization. Thus it did not fit the model Marx first theorized was necessary for the overthrow of capitalism.

Lenin forced a political revolution first to take control of the government which would then end the capitalist economic system. Marx believed that the workers would seize the economic system and then end the capitalist political system.

Since Lenin's revolution was political rather than economic, his dictatorship excluded all non Communist Party members in favor of Party members (a political distinction). Marx would have excluded capitalists in favor of socialists (an economic or class distinction).

They lie about everything. Trouble is they create lies that they know will focus test then give them to the drivebys and months later these lies are now truths.

It was all bushs fault, rich people only need give a little bit more, Mitt hates women,Benghazi-- we don't want that to ever happen again, how could we take action when we didn't know what was going on!!It never ends with these a-holls.We have to learn how to counter all the lies.

Okay, I lied. I have one more related post to the link in post 48.

Both links were articles written by someone named ROBERT S. MCELVAINE.

He thoroughly eviscerated Bush in the link in post 48 and then here is what he had to say just last year about Obama:

Obama vs. Hoover

Thomas Jefferson writing to Geo. Washington...

It is an axiom in my mind that our liberty can never be safe but in the hands of the people themselves, and that too of the people with a certain degree of instruction. This it is the business of the state to effect, and on a general plan.
