Numerous Firearms Manufacturers Refuse to Sell to Govt
Conservative Daily News ^ | February 15, 2013 | Allenah

While the President and the rabid left continue to pursue a ban on semi-automatic firearms, manufacturers are fighting back by refusing to sell to government agencies that support the President’s plan.

Illinois Gov. Rahm Emannuel tried to pressure Bank of America to stop doing business with firearms companies. Viewed as perfectly acceptable behavior by a large portion of America, firearms manufacturers copied the tactic and returned the favor.

Larue Tactical, Olympic Arms, Templar Custom, Extreme Firepower and now RAM Arms have vocalized that they will not sell their products to government agencies that support the President’s position on gun rights.

The President believes that ordinary citizens do not need shotguns with more than 5 rounds, pistols with more than 10 or rifles with more than 10. The math is a bit fuzzy as most murders are committed with handguns containing relatively few rounds. The number of rounds is actually irrelevant. In fact, the gun is irrelevant – apparently, when someone decides to kill someone else, they prefer baseball bats or choking the life out of them over guns.

The number of gun crimes committed by lawful gun owners is infinitesimal - yeah, like, near non-existent compared to the total. I know, who wants facts when emotion can lead us to a final decision?

Oddly, criminals get guns that the lawmakers in Chicago, New York and LA have banned. How is that possible? They made the law, certainly that means everyone will follow it?

Sarcasm aside, many firearms manufacturers have decided to answer the government’s unconstitutional overreach by refusing to sell government agencies arms or ammunition. As the President says, the people should come first – and so they shall.

Good! Hopefully more will join them. Disarm the folking government. They serve at our pleasure, not the other way around and in their amazing arrogance, they have forgotten.

There is a danger that this will concentrate sales in a few manufacturers and create a situation where the gov’t places big contracts with those manufacturers while also making those manufacturers stop selling to citizens. This kind of concentration of power can squeeze out citizens. We should do what we can to help the honorable manufacturers who stand up for our rights.

Mostly a token gesture on the parts of these manufacturers of high end custom products.

LaRue exempted the Federal Government from their “no sell” list. Gutsy.

In essence, they’re saying “we’re not going to sell our $3,000 custom ARs to the New York State Police, who never bought them in the first place.”

The govt will just confiscate/nationalize.

You’re over the edge and in freefall.

It would stick in my craw to sell anything arms-related to a NY government entity, but apparently not everyone has a reluctance to voluntarily sell rope to the fascists who intend to hang them.

Bravo! The gun makers have waiting lines of eager citizens waiting for their product. They certainly don’t need to supply the arsenals that government agencies are amassing.

Each patriot should search for creative ways to move out of the ever-expanding reach of the government.

I went to my local gun store the other day, and the cupboards were bare. None of the more popular calibers were in stock, and they stated it goes out the door as soon as it comes in. They have come to the point of posting on their Facebook page what is being put out the next day (no reserves) and it usually is gone the next day. Interesting times we live in...

Not impossible at all, ever heard of Fast and Furious. eems the Gov’t (FBI) is doing it right there in Indiana thus allowing those illegal guns be sold to convicted felons IN CHICAGO. Surprise, surprise, surprise!

I’ve been waiting for a big manufacturer with large contracts to join the list, but I bet it won’t happen...money is king and there’s no easier source than the whore-teat of the government.

Interesting indeed.
It seems the people are preparing for war: why does this make the government nervous?
Or, more poignantly, what sort of government, claiming it’s power originates with the consent of the governed, would be concerned about the governed being armed?

How irrelevant can you get?

What has the govt done in other communist nations? If these factories are under their own control six months into any “protest”, it’s just a miracle.

My Wally world (and just about everyone else around here) only has .25-06, .22-250, .300WM, .300WSM and (IIRC) .270Winchester. I'd be better off buying a rifle that shoots these calibers, than trying to find stuff for my existing guns...

really? You think it is better to act like a mouse than a man? The government is going to socialize gun factories? If it comes to that my fine feathered friend we are dead so who the hail cares? If the framers thought like that we would all be subjects of Queen Elizabeth and her idiot son horse face.
