It appears in this case that no civilians were de facto suspects....Let's take that portion of your comment, Caesar. It's practically guaranteed that civilians were de facto suspects, as the police engaged in their search. Thanks for participating in Latin 101 class.
With Dornan and now this guy, it’s nice to see some JUSTICE being had out there in California. Apparently the police have given up on the courts, and that’s a good thing (at least in these cases).
Indeed. Grapevine is not terribly far from here, you never know what they might try.
I got an unplanned tour of downtown Grapevine just a few weeks ago coming out of DFW, the main ramp for 635 East was closed due to construction. Pretty town, seems sort of well-to-do. That old brick tower structure was nice, town hall or whatever it was.
We have someone from Miami-Dade injured while escorting him through Texas on the way to Las Vegas.
Everyone would have wanted a piece of that guy, and now it's been settled.
The Dorner apologists were humiliated and have gone into hiding.
And the regime wants to reward these POSs, all the while criminalizing the law-abiding citizens. Welcome to Acirema.
Yep not much info as to what and how he did make the eyeglasses into a weapon.
snip
.
Police said he used a sharp piece from his eyeglasses to stab a Miami-Dade detective who was transferring him by car to Nevada, where Morales was to serve a sentence of 30 years to life after being convicted of a sexual assault.
Det. Jaime Pardinas was expected to recover after being treated at a Dallas hospital for deep stab wounds to the neck, shoulder and back and a collapsed lung. It wasn’t clear when he would be released.

Pretty serious wounds. Glad to see the perp is no longer wasting oxygen.
Yes, he took his glasses off, then stomped them to chards and stabbed the officer in the neck and back deeply.
Yep, the north end of the airport has been miserable for some time now, very confusing if you don't travel those roads often enough to keep up with the latest detours. Grapevine is a nice area. One of these days I'll have to check out one of the Grapevine Wine Tours.
Thanks for that info. I was curious about that but probably just overlooked it in the articles I’ve seen so far.
Humiliated? Hardly. But definitely scarce here.
It's hard to imagine how he could get a shard of glass in that deep to puncture a lung.
Either way, there goes inmate reading privileges.
I’ve read nothing that states what the object was. I really suspect it was part of the frame specifically the portion from the lens to the ear.
Hubby has tight me that almost anything can be used as a weapon if used correctly. ;)
Taught. Jeez.
Seems like every time we visit our family in Grapevine we get lost on those freeways! Thanks for that update we go in a few weeks... :)
Hope you enjoy it. I had to arrive before daylight for a quick trip last year and a friend that works at the Airport advised “Don’t use the North Entrance!”. Getting out in daylight wasn’t too bad but detours and changes are happening very frequently these days.
