I don’t see a connection to Zawahiri’s brother and the Innocence Of Muslims video there.
I am looking to see if I have another source that expands on it. It may be I mashed him in with the tele-islamist who had shown the video clips as if they were one and the same.
There’s no direct connection here- as you noted- unless Zawahiri’s brother really was one of the organizers in Cairo as the article claims, and the tele-islamist was not a lone wolf but rather a co-organizer, or at minimum a spokesperson for the event.
Admittedly it’s possible the tele-islamist was a lone wolf who came up with the video clips as his own excuse for raising hell and didn’t make a point to personally inform other organizers.
What’s weird is that there are many videos out there making fun of Mohammed or Islam, so why did he pick this one to blab about in the media?
