Starbucks’ most expensive drink has 40 shots of espresso

A Washington state man put a lot of planning into his cup of coffee and he may have set a record with it.

Behold, "The Quadriginoctuple Frap."

Beau Chevassus says it is the costliest cup of coffee available at Starbucks with a price tag of $47.30.

He ordered a 52-ounce venti with 40 shots of espresso, Frappuccino soy mocha drizzle, and basically everything else on the menu.

He placed the order on his birthday, so in admiration, the baristas gave it to him for free!

Will these be banned in New York City by Mommy Bloomberg?

Having FR back up far better than 40 shots of espresso!

Thanks Jim & Crew.

I’ve been to a Starbucks one time...I went in and ordered a plain black coffee....They looked at me like was a lunatic or something.....The guy said, “You don’t want ANYTHING in it???”

I said, “Yeah...I want coffee...”

He just shook his head sadly and went to get it...

Same here. Usually after my wife orders something that takes a paragraph to describe.

For people who like milk and sugar to sweeten their coffee, Starbucks finally created “Blonde Roast.”

I don’t think I could drink coffee with 40 shots of espresso and everything on the menu.

I’ll leave that up to Adam Richman. :)

Not even a twist of lemon?

"52-ounce venti "

I thought "venti" was defined by Starbucks as 24 ounces, the 2nd largest they have. The largest (trenta) is just 7 ounces larger?

I don’t usually go to Star Buck$, but when I was waiting for a train, I ventured across the street. I asked the barista for a small black coffee, and he replied back to me, along the lines of “tall drip Americano”. I told him I didn’t speak Starbucks, but if he could give me what I asked for, I would be satisfied. He seemed like a normal guy, he took a look around, to be sure no one could hear, and confided in me “I hear ya, but if I don’t speak in Starbucks, I could lose my job”.

Pvt. Joe Bowers: Man, I could really go for a Starbucks, y'know?
Frito: I don't really think we have time for a handjob, Joe.
