Mexico’s Cristero War (1926-1929; see Wikipedia) resulted in many Roman Catholic Mexicans fleeing perscution by an anti-Catholic government promoting atheism of President Calle (a Marxist, though Wikipedia refuses to label him as such) keen on land redistribution and ‘social justice’. It was a combination of the Untied States government and the Knights of Columbus who helped negotiate a peace in Mexico and stop the slaugther of Christians.
(My mother’s best friend was originally from Mexico, where her father was murdered during this war and her widowed mother fled to California; they never returned to Mexico, even to visit.)
During WWII there was a labor shortage and Mexican guest workers were allowed into the USA. After the war, huge numbers of Mexicans refused to return to Mexico, and Presidents Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower deported millions of Mexican citizens. Millions more returned home voluntarily as they were denied employment in the US.
The illegal alien problem now is political. The Democratic Party wants new voters, and the Republican Party wants cheap exploitable labor. Neither party gives a damn about the rights of citizens or guest workers.
BHO2 has deported illegal aliens from China, Israel, Poland, and other nations, but few from reagions such as Africa, Mexico, Central America and South America. He is a racist, pure and simple.
There is nothing wrong with our immigration laws that stringent enforcement wouldn’t correct. We, the citizens of this nation, have the Constitutional authority to decide who is and isn’t permitted to enter our country.
Michaeal Reagan’s espousal of open borders is tantamount to national suicide IMO. The USA, Canada, and Mexico have a long way to go before a North American Union can become a reality. The majority of citizens in all three nations are opposed to the idea. People like Reagan want to cram it down our throats in a very unAmerican manner.
It is a simple issue:
Either we are a nation of laws or we are not a nation of laws.
Enforce our laws and end the “Cult Of Personality” that has swept the nation.
Obama is the “Golden Calf” of the 21st Century.
The America we know and love will disappear if this insane idolization of an incompetent president and his promotion of law breakers is not stopped.

The actual number of illegals in America is closer to 24 million, than 12. And, most of them didn't overstay their visas, most of them walked across from Mexio via the joke of a border we have with that nation.
A drive through western Europe will help most Americans understand how the Europeans avoid the same kinds of problems we have with our southern (bad) neighbor!
Pipe dream - our War on Drugs leads to cartels having more resources than the government. Cartels will be crushed only through the same means that Prohibition rumrunners were crushed: legalization.
