Chicago hasn’t had a Republican mayor in over 80 years. Democrats have controlled the Illinois governor’s mansion and both houses of the legislature for more than a decade, with Democrats ruling the Illinois House for 28 of the last 30 years. No matter, Chicago violence is the fault of Republicans. We learned that this morning on CNN Newsroom when anchor Carol Costello asked her “Talk Back” guests about Retired Lt. General Russel Honore’s suggestion to use National Guard troops to curb murders in Chicago. Democratic strategist Robert Zimmerman astutely pinpointed the reason for Chicago’s carnage:
And let's be very clear about what's happening in Washington today and why it's undermining the city of Chicago, because there's a mindset now in our government, in Washington, from the Republican members of Congress, that sequestration is an acceptable way of doing business, that we can in fact engage in these massive irresponsible cuts that no one thinks is a logical approach to budgeting.
And that undermines law enforcement in our cities; it undermines so many education opportunities for our younger people and it does in fact -- in fact create an impoverished class of our society that leads to abuse, leads to violence and leads to more Chicagos.

They want the National Guard because the city wouldn’t have to pay them. The state or federal government would pick up the tab for the National Guard. Tell them that the taxpayers of Chicago have to pay to mobilize the National Guard and watch how quick they walk away from that idea.
As someone who actually LIVES in Illinois, not far from Chicago and commutes into that violent HELL-HOLE every day, the cause of Chicago's problems are Chicago Democrats.
Period.
Democrats have ruled the city for over 80 years. Democrats disarmed the Citizens of Chicago back in the early 1980's. That turned Chicago into a KILLING FIELD for any gang-banging thug who wanted to rape, pillage, and plunder the city without fear of repraisal.
Complicating the crime problem in Chicago are the INEPT Chicago Police Leadership, including it's latest mental midget, Gary McCarthy.
The fact is, because of Democrat Policies, Democrat Social Spending, and Democrat's continuing ignorance of crime and how to deal with it, Chicago is the MURDER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD. The Chicago Police are a laughing stock. The stark reality is only 20% of all murders committed in Chicago are ever "solved." 80% either go un-investigated or un-solved due to the Chicago Democrats cutting the police force out on the street year, over year, over year -- for the last 10 years.
There are less beat cops out on patrol today then there were 10 years ago.
Want to know why crime is out of control in Chicago and Rahm Emmanuel sits at 14% "approval" rating? There it is.
The dummy brought in an inept Chief of Police. Chicago is on a record-setting pace for murders in 2013. Chicago has already surpassed the total murders committed in January and Feburary of 2012 - and February isn't even over yet.
Want to know why Chicago's a crap-hole and the 6th most miserable city to live in, in the United States? DEMOCRATS.

Our trade policy has offshored so many jobs, that true unemployment is hanging around 24%.
That high of unemployment is bound to create some desperation and resultant crime. There may be many factors relating to high crime, but the unemployment situation can not be helping matters. And if families didn't have enough problems, financial stress can destroy families as fast as anything.

There may be some thru the state for various enforcement programs mandated by the Feds, but I don’t know of any direct salary from the Feds or State.
Any attempt to stop violence in Chicago will be racist.

Mandated? You apply and wait for the grant. But that can be big money and it becomes THE issue. It becomes policy when the money POURS in year after year...then falls dry. But what about that 25k program, or that other 10k in equipment? It’s not salary...it’s the Feds.
Tax and spend has choked the US.
And I should of added, it’s not just police but any other municipal agency willing to put a handout. USDA,EPA,...etc
It's worked so well in North Korea that they're giving that plan a try here. The former "media" has been morphed into the ministry of propaganda.
