50 Cent Sees 'No Black People' At Daytona 500

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Give NASCAR credit for this, the racing circuit continues to attempt to diversify its fan base.

This year, in a continued effort to show racing fast cars should appeal to more than just its traditionally white fan base, the circuit brought in African American celebrities such as recording artists 50 Cent and T.I. and future Hall of Fame NFL star Ray Lewis to the Daytona 500. It's a long way from the traditional slate of country singers.

Yet even with the best intentions, the intended message may not be getting out.

"Damn, I don't see no black people lol," 50 Cent tweeted Sunday after arriving at Daytona International Speedway.

That was about the last message NASCAR was hoping to have hammered home to 50 Cent's nearly eight million followers.

Are Black people not allowed to buy tickets? If there is nothing preventing Blacks from buying tickets, then this idiot needs to STFU.

BTW, how does a diverse fan base make the sport better?

Blinding Flash of the Obvious there, Curtis. There aren’t many white people at the Bayou Classic, either. Different Strokes.

I don’t see any white people on the NBA benches.Blatant discrimination against the 75% white majority...or just the result of your basic meritocracy?

What, are you trying to imply that they were screening them out? IT IS CALLED PERSONAL CHOICE! We will now see: a) Demands a huge wad of cash is given up by NASCAR to put recruitment of black kids in the schools, b) a government program full of petty beuracrats to monitor the situation and c) amnesty for Jessie Jackson Jr., because NASCAR was behind entrapping him.

Guys, there are very few Hindus in the Memphis BBQ Shack; how is that MY problem?

What genius at NASCAR made the decision to hire this animal?

What a waste of money.

Well they aren’t missing much...watching funny-looking cars covered with advertisements going round and round in circles for about four hours. I’d rather take the wife shopping. At least I’ll get to see some good looking women at the mall. (Men wear sunglasses at the mall for a reason.)

WHAT? Can white people not buy tickets to the Bayou Classic? LOL! If you are not interested in something then you don’t buy tickets to it and dang if I’d be forced to go to the 500 just for equality purposes. I meant the Bayou Classic. Or something.

50 Cent likes the old 50s and 60s and 70s American cars. The guy is one of the better rappers who has gotten himself into some pretty good business deals. He made 100 million on Vitamin Water

NASCAR hired Ray Lewis.

That’s typical.

All they gotta do is change NASCAR rules to require the drivers to dribble a basketball while racing.

Of course there’s no black people at the Daytona 500. There’s legions of hooded KKK at all entrances with crosses burning and there’s been a month long media campaign warning black people not to attend.

Then maybe he should sponsor a car and try to change things instead of just complaining about it?

Baby steps, Fhedee. Women have just punched their ticket. Nascar don’t roll with Caddys or Landrovers with shag carpet within just yet.

Would there be if someone started running Caddies, Mercedes or Chrysler 300s?
