It’s interesting that proponents want the Department of Peace to work domestically as well as internationally. That would make it the Department of Peace Everywhere.

This idea has unrealized potential. Given its mission, we could begin by folding the State Department, HHS, HUD, the U.S. Institute for Peace, and myriad other agencies into the new Department. I mean, really, there’s nothing new here other than the name.

So let’s consolidate all the relevant agencies under the banner of DOPE and cut aggregate funding by 50% in view of the efficiencies, synergies, and economies of scale generated by the new Department.

Just think of all the bureaucrats that would need to be employed for this ludicrous Department of Peace that would do what...organize the mass singing of kumbaya? furnishing balloons and butterflies for combat zones? ...pass out those ridiculous coexist bumper stickers?
