Arizona officials — from the statehouse to Capitol Hill — were outraged on Tuesday at the Obama administration’s release of hundreds of illegal immigrants held in local jails to save money as huge budget cuts loom.
“I’m appalled to learn the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has begun to release hundreds of illegal aliens from custody, the first of potentially thousands to soon be freed under the guise of federal budget cuts,” said Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, who has long battled the White House on immigration matters. “This is pure political posturing and the height of absurdity, given that the releases are being granted before the federal sequestration cuts have even gone into effect.”
In Pinal County, about 70 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border, Sheriff Paul Babeau told Newsmax that the release of hundreds of detainees over the weekend was “outrageous and unacceptable because there’s a direct and immediate impact to public safety of families in my county.”
“These are criminal illegals,” Babeau said. “They were headed for deportation — but now, they have received a budget pardon.”

It’s not absurdity. It’s the use of the power of one’s office for political gain. It will hurt the people. The communist in chief will blame it on Republicans.

From what I heard on FOX this morning, these were primarily illegals who had been caught and ordered to appear in court but failed to appear and then been caught again and detained. I don’t know about immigration but for Americans, failure to appear for court is generally a felony.
These are clear flight risk illegals.

Actually I think this release of illegals PRIOR to any cuts what-so-ever or in reality being told there is a cut in the raise of their budget ....speak volumes on a more sinister scale.
0bama has been out there campaigning to terrorize the American public about this sequester. The regime is realizing there is a vast majority of people right now...not quite believing him. In fact, part of his own constituency has been wondering why he is still in “campaign-mode” at all.
0bama is going to make, as in manufacture, a sequester crisis. There was no good legitimate reason to release illegals, other than political terrorism. He picked what he thought would be the Right’s worst nightmare.
The reality though is 0bama is refusing to govern. 0bama refuses to negotiate in good Faith. 0bama refuses to look for real ways to reduce government spending and instead will manufacture a crisis in the exact area the government is Constitutionally required to do! What is that? Protect and Defend. It is time to call our government on this issue of budgets and money.
The LAST places we should be cutting as a government are the places we are charged with managing. Everything else can be cut to the last naked bone!
Instead, 0bama is going to manufacture a crisis, THE crisis, and then he thinks he’ll play messiah to the masses.
This is one hell of a narcissistic move. This is treason right before our very eyes. This is no longer community organizing, he is now a POLITICAL TERRORIST. This is the point of the gun in our faces. He refuses to Protect and Defend and even goes one step further he puts that terrorism right in our faces. This is not politics as usual....0bama has started his terrorsim campaign for real. Why release these criminals now? What happens if there is a last minute deal? 0bama isn’t planning on making anymore deals or negotiations folks. You, I, we have got less than 30 days to be ready. With this move I feel 0bama has showed his real hand.
