J.C. Penney's fourth-quarter earnings announcement is out.
The company announced an adjusted loss per share of $1.95, way below expectations of a much smaller loss of $0.24 per share.
Revenues came in at $3.88 billion. Analysts were looking for $4.08 billion.
Same-store sales were down 32 percent in the fourth quarter.

How much brain power does it take to run a store that sells clothes?
It’s not like your breaking new ground or anything.
And I don’t have any issues with gays, but hiring a militant, radical lesbian - whom 75% of your shoppers don’t really like..... I mean... only a radical Liberal could do something that weapons grade stupid and act surprised.
That’s part of the problem, the clothing sales industry has no room for innovation and is PACKED. They’re competing with every department store, and two dozen pure clothing stores. Penney is on the death spiral, they’ve got about 1/5 of the stock they used to have, when you can’t afford to fill your stores anymore then you can’t afford to pull out. They had a long series of bad decisions, Ellen isn’t even on the list.
It was a stupid business move.
Homos generally have ‘too good taste’ to buy the craptastic clothing Penney’s sells.
On the bright side, thanks to their desperate price slashing clearance sales, I got 2 pairs of seriously wicked cool snakeskin black skinny jeans dirt cheap.

My wife will be keeping a sharp eye out for that ‘going out of business’/’reorganizing under Chapter such-and-such’ SALE that we believe is coming soon. They took a beating like that in the FOURTH quarter? Ouch.
Remodeling and new departments continue at a rapid pace.
Old brand names and suppliers are gone and lesser quality and new producers are replacing the favorites. Quality has decreased.
Employees, I know, still think it is going to rebound. They are mostly young to 40 years old and can not understand the problem with Ellen and the two daddy’s or two mommy’s promotions for Mother’s and Father’s Day! (pictures on each advertisement)
The move to court gays may be a concern for many but not for my wife, who doesn’t care about such things. She does care that the store got rid of the stuff she liked to buy there and replaced it with overpriced, poor selection of name brand stuff that she doesn’t like. Nobody wants to pay premium prices at JC Penny, that’s not their market and the market is letting them know it.
Even their ads promote gays and lesbians and turn normal people off. This was intentionally done by their leader. I don’t think he really cares if the company is tanking.
Based on these trends, JCP will be out of cash by Christmas. They’re already delaying payments to vendors. The death spiral is accelerating. All because they decided to go homo.
Not too far off. I was at the local mall recently, and we’ve been looking for new cotton sheets for our son’s bed(full) the last couple of days. She suggested JCP while I was there. I moaned and groaned and said “I’ll take a look”. But when they were less than half of the lowest price I’ve seen so far, I could resist.
I know, I know, I shouldn’t have. I’ve stopped going there for everything else, but when the price was that much lower than EVERYWHERE else I”ve looked ...
Going out of business sale would be nice however.

Christmas orders are final by May and delivery begins in July...can they make it?
Will the merchandise be what people expect or want?
These specialty departments within the store are very expensive renovations...I bet the companies are paying the bill and stocking the stores too...there might be a new plan at work. If they are buying from the distributer at the time of sale it might be interesting to see the results.

If they had picked Palin or Tebow as a spokesperson, every story would be about THAT decision being responsible for the fall of JC Penny.
Since they picked a degenerate homosexual, the usual suspects are out in full force to tell us how it didn’t matter and there is NO WAY that could be the reason.
