I've felt this speech important enough to make the effort to convert the speech to text for those who don't want to go through the video (It's only 1:21) of the speech by Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-Kan). I've listened to the video many numerous times to assure accuracy of what she says in the video.

Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-Kan;)
..that amounts to over 2.5% of the federal budget, find me an American family, a hard working taxpayer who hasn't already cut over 2% of their budget at home without cutting essentials things.

There's a fact that says we are going to take in more money this fiscal year than we have ever taken in before.. the budget this year, we'll be spending more money than last year even if the sequester goes into effect.

We will spend more money than last year even if the sequester goes into effect.

The fact is when we accepted the president's sequestering 18 months ago we made a deal, a dollar for cuts for a dollar of spending in debt limit increase.

If he wants to do a bait an switch now we would have lied to our constituents by replacing those with tax increases.....

this leads you to the truth and the truth is the president needs to come back from his campaign style tour and stop scaring people and work with us to address the issues of debt and the deficit..

You can watch the video at YouTube of Rep Lynn by clicking on the link.

Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-Kan.) told President Barack Obama to "stop scaring people" over the sequester—the automatic spending cuts set to take effect on Friday (1.2% of budget in 2013) — and work with Congress to find a solution.

Or I'll spank you! Yup, really works. Republicans don't know how to fight and too laid back in political walking soft.
