This is a ridiculous situation, only I'm not laughing. Cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, which help the most economically disadvantaged Americans, instead of raising taxes on the wealthiest Americans, who haven't experienced substantial tax increases since Word War II?
We need to be expanding social programs, not cutting them, which means raising taxes on the wealthiest. We have enough resources to ensure everyone's basic human rights to food, shelter, education, and health care; we just have a drastically uneven distribution of resources.

and how much extra did you send in on your income tax form this year Anna?
Here is a clue.
Get your checkbook out, find 100 poor people, and write them a check.
It is way more efficient than you begging the government to tax you and letting those crumbs trickle down to the poor (at about 5c per every dollar finally getting to the end recipient versus spent in the bureaucratic machine).
What an economic illiterate. Just too stupid to even analyze. That one statement above should qualify her for the Obama care funny farm.
1) It’s patently absurd
2) It’s hypocritical
3) It’s absolutely destined to happen
It would be ironic if Obama did raise the taxes on her rich parents to the point they could no longer support her attending college. I wonder if she knows Sandra Fluke? Seems that they have a lot in common. Living in the insulted academic world and commenting on us working folk.
Anna needs to kickback and watch the classic movie “Dr Zhivago”, about a society where everyone had “the right” to shelter and food, a government determined to enforce income redistribution, and a good look at the deterioration in humanity that resulted
When it comes down to it, the Annas of the world are just like the lazy bums who sit on their asses collecting government checks for a living. They have no concept that you have to work to support yourself and to get ahead in life. To them, there is this magic pot of money out there to be divided up and if you are rich, its because you stole more than "your share" from the pot, as evidenced by this quote from her:
We have enough resources to ensure everyone's basic human rights to food, shelter, education, and health care; we just have a drastically uneven distribution of resources.

Liberal response: We need to use people with guns to make me pay more of the wealth my parents earned and were taxed on to the federal government.
Conservative response: I saw people out there who needed help, so I set up a clinic to help them, gathering donations from friends and family to fund it.
Liberal clinic: Run by an administrator who earns no less than a six figure salary, including extensive retirement benefits. Spends much of their day applying to various charitable organizations for funds to use for abortions.
Conservative clinic: Much of the staff volunteers their time, any paid personnel take a modest salary with little benefits, wanting most of the funds raised to actually go to the cause.
And there is the difference: Liberals want someone to make them do the right thing, and get paid very well to do it. Conservatives simply do the right thing, and are embarrassed if offered money to do it.
What the little ignorant b-tch demonstrated is that she is an elitist classist - notice how everything she says is based on the assumption that people NEVER change classes....the assumption that wherever your family was financially in WW2 - is where you are today. That is a soft but malignant prejudice.
I want to see a tax increase too...
I want the 47% that do not pay anything to pony up and drop something, ANYTHING, into the kitty...
fair is fair...
the only basic right every human and even every animal has is the right to exist, period.
Seriously....do I even need to say it?
