What Rush Limbaugh Didn't Say
The Irish Examiner ^ | 2/26/13 | Alicia Colon

Posted on 02/28/2013 6:30:29 AM PST by Lakeshark

Rush Limbaugh said that for the first time he was ashamed of his country and his words made the top Drudge headline and generated a ton of comments from talking heads in Washington. 'Ashamed' isn't the word I'd use but I share Limbaugh's frustration with the endless lies told by members of both parties so that nothing ever changes but I believe he's being disingenuous. We've never been fooled by the lies the politicians throw at us. Rush is just too polite to say is that he's confounded by the stupidity of the American people who do fall for them.

Over the past few decades, the insanity that has become our government has made me feel like Charlton Heston's character in the original Planet of the Apes when he shouted, "It's a madhouse! It's a madhouse!" Now after that line, I will probably be accused by the hacks and nimrods at MSNBC of using a racist reference code. These media clowns are part and parcel of the leftwing cabal that grew out of the 1960s determined to destroy the independence and spirit of what made this country great by mainstreaming political correctness.

A great rant concerning where we are. Insanity on the part of our politicians, stupidity of the American voter, and the complicit ridiculousness of the MSM. A worth while read to say the least.

Also worthwhile: The egregious governmental excess and corruption during the Clinton administration failed to provoke voter outrage but since 2006 and the Democrat takeover of Congress, the lobotomizing of much of America is fairly obvious. How else can we explain the reelection of President Barack Obama, Senator Harry Reid, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Henry Waxman, Rep. Charlie Rangel and the other Democrats who continue to strip the taxpayers of their hard earned money to fund entitlements to the undeserving?

And more: The media has become treasonous because it no longer cares about truth and what's good for the country if it harms the image of their lord and savior, President Obama. It aids and abets the enemy by not covering the growing threat by Al Qaeda in the Middle East. Our Ambassador to Libya was brutally murdered and dragged through the streets of Benghazi and our president took off for a campaign event in Las Vegas and he was reelected? I doubt seriously that the Obama voters ever heard of Benghazi because it never made as much news in the media as Kim Kardashian's wedding plans.

A country that obsesses over words that were spoken, or were not spoken, is a country that has become insane.

I watched most of the Feinstein assault weapons (what are those?) ban carnival and circus yesterday. Not once did I hear anyone ask the simple question about what the 2nd amendment is for. Not once. They talked about hunting and “self protection” but at no point did I watch and hear anyone simply say that the 2nd amendment protects us from the government.

What a joke Washington is. When you are a kid in this country you think that the president and Congress are the best of the best. Once you get old enough to figure things out you see that overall the dregs of our population gravitate to “politics”. We are not being represented by the bets of us, we are being trod upon by the worst of us.

We really would be better off by having a lottery for Congress and randomnly picking people off the streets.

More hard truth from the article: The aforementioned progressive, Robert Creamer, husband of Rep. Jan Schakowsky, wrote a book, Stand Up Straight! which showed how the Democrat Party could win a permanent majority in Congress by doing the following:

1.1. passing a national health care bill, thereby turning more people into wards of an ever-expanding government, and of the party that works to grow government;
2.2. and giving amnesty to all illegal immigrants, thereby creating, virtually overnight, a large new constituency of Democratic voters...

In the book, Creamer, a Saul Alinsky disciple said, "we must not just generate understanding, but emotion-fear, revulsion, anger, disgust."

This is exactly what President Obama is doing now while he tries to scare us about what will happen if we dare to go through with the sequester cuts he initiated. Our country is going to perdition but rather then being ashamed, we should all be furious. I do not understand why any practicing Catholic would vote for the party of death or why any Jew would vote for a party that refuses to support Israel, our strongest ally in the Middle East.

Rush is just too polite to say is that he's confounded by the stupidity of the American people who do fall for them.

I disgree. This is implicit in Russh's commentary. He's said that the real problem isn't obama...it's the 60 million idiots who elected him. This is certainly why I'm ashamed of my country. It's why I haven't even flown the flag since election day.

A country is more than it's geography and history. Those I honor and love. But a country is first and foremost the people who make up the country. Their values and culture...and that's what makes me ashamed to the point of not even wanting to fly the flag. I will continue to fly it on national holidays to honor what once was but never now to honor what is.

First, are you okay? Well, with difi running the “show”, would you have expected anything else? Were there scripts available before hand. Probably the next most pertinent question after “what is the 2nd amendment for?” would be “can anybody on the panel please explain exactly how any of this proposed legislation will prevent events like Sandy Hook?”. The sound of the crickets would be around 140db. Myself, I remember ABW 1.0 and how nauseated I was when they passed it that I couldn’t watch the latest difi circus. But as usual the radical left wing extremist demokkkrat liberal scumbags feel they owe us peons no explanation and look with disdain at us feeling just the slightest amount of pity at our stupidity since they are soooooo smart. They are pretty delusional but sadly, they are the ones making the rules and they don’t give 2 damns about what we think. They say they can’t deport 11-20 million trespassers and they think they are going to eventually gather up 300+ million firearms? This may not end well. Please continue to hammer your pols. I do it every Monday. Some respond with form letter and others “thanks for contacting me” but they may be getting the message that the natives are restless.

Be careful what you wish for.

In the '08 Primary, people said, "anybody but Clinton." Well, we got him!

We'd best drag out the verse people were quoting just after 9/11, 2 Chronicles 7:14.

It is a prayer about the people of God, sincerely being repentant, asking for God's forgiveness and God's allowing healing of their land...........for a time before being sacked by foreign forces, people killed or dragged off into captivity by godless barbarians and forced to serve those barbarians.

Sometimes, I feel as though that has already happened and we are serving godless barbarians.

I often find it hard to believe that American Soldiers are willing to take the field to fight for these 60 million idiots. It must be embarrassing sometimes. what are they fighting for?? These idiots at home aren’t so much “falling” for BO’s lies as they are wanting them to pay dividends. They must know they are raiding the treasury.

I think that once he got that exit polling on election eve and saw 57% still blamed Bush for the bad economy, Rush was in momentary danger of a massive coronary, and then had to do a 180 in his thinking about the country’s future. I truly believe it came as that much of a shock to him.

Agree, pg.
60 million entitled, greedy, jealous, lazy, angry, uninformed, stupid VOTERS... a privilege that should only be bestowed on those who can think straight.

And we sit next to these folks at restaurants, sing with them in choir, use their lawn services and stand in line with them in the grocery store.

My eight year old grandson refused to give money to a begger on the street in S. F., saying that he’ll just spend it on beer and that he should get a job.
Now that’s a smart kid. Wish he could VOTE!

Rush’s statement was in mockery of Moochelle, not a statement of his actual feelings.

Sheesh, talk about low-information commenters.

Who was it, Bill Buckley that opined that we would be better governed if we picked out the first 535 names from the Manhattan phone book? Right on!
