Prices have surged as retailers cash in on the trend. But Ruger (RGR), which sells to wholesalers, does not have plans to hike prices, according to Fifer. "Perhaps we have left some money on the table by not taking advantage of the demand," he said. Gun buyers have "long memories" and those retailers who are "gouging" consumers will ultimately pay the price, he said.
Ruger will not be able to replenish its inventories until demand slows down, said Fifer. "We're basically selling everything we make," he said. The explosion in gun buying could continue as first-time gun buyers who are concerned about personal safety develop into enthusiasts who own multiple weapons. "At least some portion, we don't know how much, will go beyond that first self-defense gun and will realize how much fun it is, and start acquiring additional firearms," said Fifer.

Yeah. I want to buy another sr9c, but they are hard to come by these days. If they show up in stock somewhere, they usually sell out that day.
Turns out, that was my fault, not Ruger's.
“Great company!”
While I certainly agree...I would like them to raise their prices a bit if it can help with production rates, although maybe they have enough resources anyway. My point being that I get somewhat nervous about the shortages of ammo, magazines, and firearms and hope to heck that the manufacturers pick up their rates to meet demand.
Like the LCP. So easy to field strip & great pocket pistol.
Yes. And great customer service to support their products.
I’d love to pick up a Ruger, but I have had a hard time locating anything for sale.
LOVE my S/S Ruger Mark II with matching scope.
Almost put them all through the same hole.
just bought an lcp last week, I want a 10/22 takedown but I can’t find one at all.
“just bought an lcp last week, I want a 10/22 takedown but I cant find one at all.”
Cabella’s has them on sale now in their latest flyer.
I have had a take-down 10-.22 on order since October.
A new Ruger SR-40 in my arsenal.
Was able to pick up a Takedown last summer and it is one of my favorite guns now. They also have a new Takedown with flash suppressor.
In the last two weeks I managed to get my hands on their 10/22 takedown. A nice shooting gun.
About six months ago, I got a Ruger 38 special with laser. A few weeks ago, I got a Ruger 10/22 LR. and 25 cartridge magazine. If you haven’t read about my purchase of that rifle, it’s PINK.
SP-101 ROCKS!
My first gun purchase when I reached majority was a Ruger 10/22.
I bought my wife a Ruger SR22P for our anniversary last November, just before the craziness started. She bought me a Glock 26 for Christmas.
Can’t even get 9mm or 22LR ammunition these days, let alone a gun to shoot it in.
It is great that they are not raising prices. I had a buddy wanting to buy one, and he called a different shop, and they had two in stock, but were asking $420 each - that's without the laser - so about $130 markup.
Beware where you buy. Good businesses know that this is (hopefully) temporary and want to keep long term customers.
The first gun I bought new was a Ruger Single Six, which I still have, 35 years later. I have several other Rugers, including my second 10/22 (first was stolen). I really like Rugers, though the P series just doesn’t feel right in my hand.
Ruger may have not gone up on their prices, but the retailers have. Looked at a GP100 357 the other day and the gun shop I visit has them 125 above msrp that Ruger has on their site. This shop is normally the lowest cost in town.
