Lets go have a guillotine party in DC.
That, would be therapeutic.
Can’t find any takers though.
Seems like a couple million would be willing.
But no.

Doesn’t surprise me at all. My doctor told me that he has had more patients complaining of insomnia, stress etc.. than ever before. I am certainly not saying that suicide is an answer.. what I am saying is that when people lose their jobs, savings, home etc... some are more apt to become clinically depressed/turn to alcohol etc. I guess they feel lost and hopeless. So very sad....

Cancel your newspaper subscription and stop watching the news on TV. It’s an endless stream of sad, depressing news, most of which we have no control over except to worry and obsess about. When you consider the content of the average evening newscast, it’s a wonder we don’t see more people offing themselves.

Titus Livius, Roman Historian, Ca. 29 BC-"The Early History of Rome." Penguin Classics-Translated by Aubrey Selincourt;..."I would then have him(the reader)trace the process of our moral declcine, to watch, first, the sinking of the foundations of morality as the old teaching was allowed to lapse, then the rapidly increasing disintegration, then the final collapse of the whole edifice, and the dark dawining of our modern day when we can neither endure our vices nor face the remedies needed to cure them..." "...of late years wealth has made us greedy, and self-indulgence has brought us, through every form of sensual excess, to be, if I may so put it, in love with death both individual and collective..."
Livy was describing the moral state of Rome and that of the Roman of his time. By analogy we the EuroAmerican are in the same moral condition as those old ones. Farah is correct.
