Surrogate Refused A $10,000 Offer To Abort The Baby She Was Carrying
Business Insider ^ | 05 March 2013 | Erin Fuchs

Most surrogacy stories end happily, but CNN is reporting on one that ended with lawyers and a baby that probably won't live a normal life.

Crystal Kelley, a 29-year-old single mom in Connecticut, agreed to carry a couple's child in exchange for a $22,000 fee, according to CNN.

She had a pleasant relationship with the unnamed couple until tests showed the five-month-old fetus she was carrying had serious abnormalities — including a cleft palate and and major heart defects.

Then the couple offered a deal that was unthinkable to Kelley: They'd give her $10,000 if she would abort the fetus. Kelley was anti-abortion and refused.

Then she got a letter from a lawyer

Kelley was anti-abortion and refused.

Until she countered at $15,000. When the couple refused, she became anit-abortion again.

Those meth-whore tattoos are the only thing you need to know about "Crystal."

Kelley had a counter offer. "In a weak moment I asked her to tell them that for $15,000 I would consider going forward with the termination," she said.

“I can’t tell you how many people told me that I was bad, that I was wrong, that I should go have an abortion, that I would be damned to hell,” she told CNN.

Never judge a book by its cover. Regardless of what she SAID, what she DID is what counts. And what she DID was give a child a life and God another soul to save. and the only people “damned to hell” are those who support abortions.

Life begins at the moment of conception.

I agree. I think what she finally did is commendable,

I just wonder why Business Insider didn't tell the entire story.

Another consequence of distorting God’s gifts of male and female procreation.

Put this on the list with sperm donors and homosexual adoptions. Motivated by profit and/or selfishness.

Renting a womb overlooks the natural maternal instinct kicking in. And selling sperm has already been documented to cause incest by unsuspecting 1/2 siblings.

All deeply troubling for the children of these substitutions for natural law.

Only God can undo human stupidity and narcissism. Wonder what he is planning(?). Hmmmmm.

What are you talking about!?

In the end, she did the right thing (no abortion) in the face of a lot of legal, social, and peer-group pressure. She’s sporting some tattoos — like millions of other young women today. She looks like a healthy young mother — nothing at all like a “meth whore”.

It’s bad enough the pro-aborts are dumping all over this young woman. She’s done nothing to deserve a similar treatment on this site.

Temptation can touch the best of us. Sarah Palin said she was momentarily tempted by the idea of aborting Trig after finding out he had Downs. The actions are what count.

Speak for yourself. The fact she didn't abort her baby tells me more.

Her asking price for the abortion was $15,000.

She just didn't get her price.

And she also said that was in a moment of weakness. Not going to give her credit for coming around to the right way of thinking, huh?

"The letter describes how the parents tried to convince Kelley to change her mind. Their three children were born prematurely, and two of them had to spend months in the hospital and still had medical problems. They wanted something better for this child."

This is a lie. What the two so-called parents wanted for this child was death --- death, and the funerary honors of a bag of garbage.

The reproductive concubine, Kelley, was not a 'meth whore' --- people into commercial child-breeding for $22,000 do not hire a meth whore as their reproductive concubine.

They thought she was caring, and she was. They thought she would protect the child, and she did.

The whole contract stinks to high heaven, because it denies the child's right to be the fruit of love, and not a science project or an expensive lifestle accessory or pet. Or a corpse culled out by the Quality Control Unit.

Damn the would-be killers to hell if they do not repent, and while we're at it, damn their lawyers twice.

For all these reasons and more, surrogacy should be banned just like chattel slavery was banned: because nobody "owns" or has life or death say-so power over any human being, period.

My humble blessing is for Kelley, who, while she made a huge mistake getting into this damned deviltry to begin with, she resisted the gravest kind of temptation and did the right thing in the end. Bless her, oh, bless her, my dear Lord.

1. She did not have an abortion.

2. You had absolutely no basis for calling her a crack whore.

My apologies , you didn’t call her a crack whore. You called here a meth whore. Based on nothing whatsoever.

We should also note that, in spite of all the carrying-on from death-advocates that a woman bearing a handicapped child will have her life destroyed, there were parents ready to adopt Kelley’s baby with all its health problems and poor prognosis.

A lot of people out there are more loving than many could even conceive of being.

Notice that we aren’t told who the biological “parents” of the baby are. I’ve searched, and can find not mention of them in other publications either. That doesn’t mean that they aren’t “outed” elsewhere — if anyone has the info, please post a link. It seems that the wannabe aborters have “privacy rights”; while Crystal is completely exposed to the media storm.

The people who hired Crystal were the donors of the embryos.

**...two frozen embryos left over. Doctors thawed them out and on October 8, 2011. The couple had a choice to destroy them, or use them.**

This is the story the evening news is running: http://fox59.com/2013/03/05/surrogate-offered-10000-to-abort-baby-after-medical-problems-found/
